Do not move here
July 24, 2022Update: The only reason I’m not giving this complex 1 star is because of the landscaping and the proximity to 95. They do a nice job of trying to keep the grounds clean despite people here not cleaning up after themselves. It’s also very nice being close to everything, including the highway. The low rating is due in large part to the thin walls which allow you to hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing (showering, flushing the toilet, TV, etc.). In addition, numerous complaints about excessive ...noise are not taken seriously. Calls to security, and emails to the leasing office resolve nothing. Cars have been broken into, including mine, windows smashed and tires have been slashed. The rent is VERY PRICEY for what you get. I’ve been here for 5 years and after a steady decline, this has by far been the worst year yet. I will not be renewing my lease; your money is best spent elsewhere.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

They will email you to sign the lease before move-in because they know there are issues here! Do not do it! once you sign they only care about the money! Great Apartments, but expect surprises
May 23, 2019I've lived at Kensington place for a year and it's been an enjoyable experience. I chose Kensington place because it was close to the highway and would make my commute easier for work, which has been fairly helpful. I haven't had any significant issues besides minor problems that maintenance ALWAYS comes to fix right away. I will say that I have been reporting a strong odor (which comes and goes) coming from the fridge or kitchen area since move-in and because no one else could smell it at the ...time, they wouldn't do anything about it. I gave up and dealt with it since I travel a lot for my job anyway. I have washer issues on and off, but maintenance usually takes care of it right away. I also can agree with the comments below about the walls being thin. I can stand in my bathroom and hear my neighbors entire conversation. I live in the North Building, so I get to enjoy the inside "hotel style" building. Also, they clean the building every Saturday, which is greatly appreciated and parking is included in the rent rate. Although my experience has been great, expect drastic rent increases. My rent is on auto-pay and I've never been late, but due to "the market", I received almost a $200 (15%) rent increase from 2018-2019. I tried to talk to management, but instead she offered me a free carpet cleaning and accent wall, which is being offered to all new tenants. As a loyal tenant, I believe there should at least be an opportunity to renew at a decent rate. Yes, I did sign last year at a great rate, but I should not be penalized for catching the rate when I did. She mentioned that everyone else with my size apartment is paying the new rate, which may be true, but a 15% increase in one year is still drastic. The only reason I chose to stay was due to my heavy schedule and not being able to move during that time frame. I appreciate the women in the office for always being helpful and offering great community events. As stated, I've really enjoyed my stay here, but would love to feel like I'm not being penalized for paying a lower rate. I expected an increase of course, but not as drastic. Terrible
June 8, 2018Trash is everywhere all the time, Parking lot, dragged through the hallways, in the lamdscaping, and heaping at the dumpsters. The management doesn't give a crap about anything. The repair team won't fix anything correctly. You can see outside theough our patio door because the door is warped. They just moved the strikeplate, so now you cant open or close it withoit your entire body weight involved. The hot water heater won't stay hot enough for one 10 minute shower, so instead of fix it, they ...just turn up the heat, but you still can't take more than a 10 minute shower. When asked about anything, all they say is "because" and expect you to accept that. Cars are broken into all the time. Management doesn't care at all. They won't install security cameras and "security" is never around. Most of the residents are trashy, rude, and loud, as you might surmise from the trash everywhere and vandalism. You can hear everything happening above or below you if you stand in the kitchen or bathroom - every word of a conversation. And people walking sound like herds of elephants. The lack of professionalism is really astounding. Don't waste your money living here. A fresh coat of paint on the walls doesn't make up for terrible management who never answer calls.Property Manager Responded
