Worst apartment ever
February 5, 2026If I could rate for everyone on lakeside I would. It is rat invested . The maintenance takes weeks or more to fix things after calling them several times to fix it . The customer service is trash they never answer the phone, the plumbing is horrible, the apartments look nice on the outside but the inside is old , staff lies and say they will fix something and never do it . It socks by far the worst apartment I have ever lived out .Review from Apartments.com

Very slumish
January 12, 2024Why is it poor? Horrible move in experience, no statement when paying rent, apartments are falling apart, amenities are crap on the grounds. Renovated anpartments are not renovated at all but you pay a higher price, like missing items you are suppose to have are not there. Random charges for no reason and no way to check why you were charged. And the list goes on. Just moved here 2 months ago and still finding/having issues. I am already looking for a new place to move. Maintenance is helpful and ...friendly.Property Manager Responded

What a deal!
February 11, 2019With all the amenities available, one must have a peculiar reason not to stay at Brook Highland Place! Even the staff are living it up at Brook Highlands Place. Everyday I am checking my email. A couple times a month Brook Highland Place are announcing events located in the apt complex clubhouse. Lol,Free stuff! The way I see it, our money is not only going towards rent, but also the events. It's a bonus considering the rent price is fair compared to the surrounding areas. Great place to live
April 30, 2018I have lived in the apartment complex for 3 years I have had nothing but great things for me here , the management is very nice they if they are busy they will always get with you , if i have any maintenance issues its no later than 24 hrs ot if its an emergency they will come out. A Great Place to Live with Great Customer Service!
April 20, 2018I have been a resident here for almost 5 years and I can truly say that I can call this my home and I love the new management team and office workers. Everyone that works in the office now is extremely nice and helpful and I hope it stays this way. I may leave if they ever try to leave me. Susan, the manager is great and is always available and willing to talk when needed. She will listen and address your concerns and within days, it is fixed! I love her, she's awesome! Kim and the other guy is ...great as well. Having a great office team and maintenance team that is very helpful is a big plus when shopping around for apartments. This is the reason why I plan to live here much longer than originally planned. Brook Highland is great community and quiet and I never have any problems. The only thing that I may fix would be the parking and the dog poop but that's not too much of a big deal and I understand that that just come with apartment living. EXCELLENT APARTMENTS
April 17, 2018I Must Say! Brook Highland Apartments will be getting a 5 STAR rating from me! Moving from Texas knowing nothing about Birmingham or the area was very difficult! I applied at this property not knowing what side of town it was on or what It looked like just seeing pictures. The applying process went great! Rates are a bit high, but we are in a nice area so I would understand why the rent is high. I love my apartment! The grounds are always kept CLEAN. Parking can be a hassle but its not a ...problem. The maintenance team is awesome, not only do they fix your work order in a timely matter but they also say Good Mornings when they see you! The staff that you really have to get to know is KIM & LAUREL .They both are very professional, respectful and have great personality!!!. For the ones that has had a bad experience with this property, please understand you live in an Apartment community. Things happen that are out of their and our control. I LOVE THIS PLACE!
October 25, 2016I have lived in this complex for over two years. The new management has really made amazing changes. There have been many activities that have been put together by the staff. Some of the activities are movie nights, pool parties, pizza parties, and FREE work out classes, just to name a few. There have been many enhancements. It really has made this complex feel more like a little community. The area is very clean and quiet. The landscaping is maintained on a regular basis. I called into the ...office to report a minor maintenance issue and they handled it right away. Not only did they come within 15 minutes, but they also replaced all of the light bulbs that were bad. I didn’t even have to mention it!!!! I love living here!!!!!!!Property Manager Responded
