DO NOT RENT HERE
August 31, 2023DO NOT RENT HERE! I was a resident there for 2 years. Shortly after moving in i advised that the floor in the bathroom had a hard lean so every time i went to the bathroom there was a hard lean to the left. What was done about it? Nothing, but i was patient with them. When i tried wondering why so many of my clothes got messed up and shrinking when i put it on cold they came and found out the hoses were crossed where the hose from hot water went to the cold hookup and the cold hookup went to ...hot. What was done other than just fixing it? Nothing. When my lease was coming to an end a week before i was going to move out the dishwasher broke. It had been leaked that "since i was moving out anyways there's no urgency to replace the washer" so i had to wash everything by hand. I was patient with them and left the apartment in good condition. When i moved out i vaccumed it up and cleaned it up to make sure i would get my deposit back. I left the key in the box as instructed and when i called to let them know i left the key the response from them was "we'll let you know if you owe anything for carpets/blinds etc" (in other words the impression i get is they pull this crap often). They want to charge almost 700 ON TOP of the 350 security deposit to replace ALL THE CARPETING IN THE APARTMENT because in the note the carpet company wrote is they believe there was pet urine due to an odor........i work from home and whenever i am not home the dog is crated. Also, if you own a dog you are paying extra for the dog. With that said, they said they can make a decision to just replace it and forget the idea of cleaning it and expect me to pay the bill. Keep in mind i have lived in a couple states at multiple apartments and i HAVE NEVER lost my deposit, let alone had an additional charge on top!!!! They are now saying that they chose to replace the carpet, i had no say in the matter and if i don't pay it they are sending me to a credit agency. One of THE WORST PARTS is that over the last 2 weeks i have called Drucker and Falk Corporate number on over 5 different occasions (8/16, 8/21, 8/28, 8/29. 8/30) and have 2 case numbers open where they promised a property manager was supposed to call me back and they have REFUSED to even give me the courtesy of a phone call back. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in their lack of professionalism and i would strongly recommend reviewing this before you decide to move in here.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

June 11, 2022My husband and I lived here for 3 years and it was an absolute DREAM. SOLID walls - can't hear a thing from neighbors! Right next to a Target - wooo! Krystal, Paige and Alison were always so helpful if we needed anything. Maintenance was super friendly and helpful, and on time! When they come to fix something, you'll never have an issue with it again. We only moved because we needed a bigger living space but if we had the chance, we'd move back here in a heartbeat!!!Review from Apartments.com
Solid Space to Live
May 25, 2022My wife and I are going on our third year here and can’t wait to renew. We enjoy the neighborhood, it’s quiet (minus traffic noise) and safe the whole time we’ve been here. Everytime we make a maintenance request it is taken care of in a very timely manner based on importance. Anytime we’ve had a urgent matter it is taken care of within hours. Not sure if previous tenants who left reviews just didn’t communicate properly or there was a fix made but maintenance is never an issue. The community ...also emails far in advance for any maintenance to the exterior which may cause messiness to your vehicle and gives you plenty of time to move it. Of course it’s up to car owners to see the email and move their car. No issue with this for us whatsoever. The complex is older and if you don’t have a renovated unit this is more noticeable but again you get what you pay for. We are in an unrennovated unit and are perfectly happy within it. We haven’t had a major issue with bugs, we see one here and there and they are outside pretty heavy during the late summer months but a quick spray around your windows and exterior points and in your shed will keep them away. GREAT APARTMENT!!
January 24, 2021I really enjoy living at Latitudes apartment going on 2 years. This community is beautiful, centrally located and within walking distance of everything. the office staff are very pleasant, helpful and informative. Maintenance staff are always working to maintain a clean and beautiful community. Can't wait until my lease is up!
June 29, 2019I was shown a nice updated apartment, but when I moved in it was gross! Carpet was not cleaned, everything is old and dirty, balcony door doesn't even open its so old. I asked for a repair and all they did was take what was broken out of the apartment and said it was complete. Before signing the lease make sure you see the actual apartment you will move into.Review from Apartments.com
Tenants are a last priority and they abuse their personal property.
February 7, 2019Lived here for over 8 months. Constantly have to remind management about maintenance issues. Today they are out pressure washing the sidewalks and sprayed mud all over my white car. I have a dedicated spot and just recently paid to have my car professionally cleaned two days ago. Contacting the office, I was told "there's nothing we can do.". Like it's okay to waste my money and cover my car in mud. During the spring my unit has had roaches and spiders every day. I've had pest control out ...multiple times and the issue is never resolved. Do not live here
December 4, 2018At first, I was excited to live here, I quickly realized I made a mistake. After waiting one month and 5 days to get a screen replaced I had to email the leasing office to get someone out- still took 3 days because of "emergencies". My dryer hasnt worked properly since I moved in. My shower leaks. Bugs everywhere. The paint jobs are terrible, and there is broken siding all over. Trash compactor looks like a landfill. The "lake" is nothing more than dirty water. Between the loud post man, loud ...cars, and crying children- it's nearly impossible to relax in your home if you have animals since those noises will cause a chain reaction bark-a-thon. Save yourself the hassle- look elsewhere. Update 02dec: left on deployment, came back to a water damaged bathroom ceiling, the toilet leaked all over the floor and about 20 dead cockroaches. Asked for someone to come by immediately and a mold inspection, nothing. There is new management and only two people working at the leasing office. A note was left on my door-- saying payments were due 01dec, in person by check or money order- no email or call was made- luckily I got home 30 nov and was able to pay. 6 months and I'm out of here. 04dec: toilet is fixed, but they left a mess. Ceiling still damaged, and I killed my 40th roach. My neighbor doesnt clean his lint trap, so lint blows into my place. All future roaches and lint will be brought to the leasing office.Property Manager Responded

Slow service
August 11, 2018At first, I was excited to move here. Fast forward 4 months and I can't wait to leave. Maintenance takes months. The only up side is I can walk nearly everywhere I need. Update: 6th maintenance request submitted for the my dryer since move in. It was finally replaced after I told them to remove it and adjust my rent. I've had over 20 roaches since moving in. Never had roaches before. Now they have turned into a weekly occurrence.Review from Apartments.com
No Complaints!
March 29, 2018I have had a great experience while living at Latitudes in Virginia Beach. The apartments are well maintained, the rent is reasonable, and the location can't be beat. All services requests have been completed within 24-48hrs and the office staff have been kind and welcoming. Latitudes is located in Hilltop which boasts great restaurants (Le Yaca/Bakers Crust), shopping (Walmart, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, etc.), and is close to the beach! Horrible place to live
October 5, 2017DO NOT LIVE HERE! They will scam you out of your deposit! When we moved in the carpet was stained horribly, we informed the front office and took pictures. Now that we have moved out they are charging us to replace the carpet saying we put the stains there. They said the stains were frok urine. We didn't have any pets in the apartment so no idea where those stains came from!? When I told the office manager that the carpet wad already stained, I was told "We wouldn't have let you move in if it had ...been" Save yourself a lot of money and trouble and live literally anywhere else! Never again
September 20, 2017Almost every window in our unit leaked, it took 6 months to fix a leak in our bathroom ceiling, carpets are worthless, cabinets are falling apart and peeling, pieces of our ceiling were peeling off, the majority of the closets wouldn't properly open nor close, the bedroom doors were falling apart, all of our outlets had to be changed because plugs would literally just fall out, the sidewalks during the summer get huge areas of standing water from the AC units.. my list could probably go on and ...on. Very poor communication in the office. I was consistently told someone would be in touch with me on certain issues, however I was constantly the one who had to keep reaching out to then to resolve anything. They claim to be "smoke-free" and tenants would be fined, but that was never the case for the numerous times our neighbors smoked on their balcony, broad daylight, all day, everyday. Oh, and the "playground" is an accident waiting to happen. I would say the only good thing about this apartment complex is that it does have a separate laundry room (in the 3 bedroom at least) and Linkhorn Park Elementary is an amazing school.Property Manager Responded
