lunches at their dining area and I noticed a good sense of community. Maureen, the activities director, is a fun person to be around and her enthusiasm for her job is contagious. There are plenty of events and activities for the residents to participate in. I especially appreciate that Carolyn, the sales manager, actually listens to her residents and projects a warmth that seems so lacking in other professional retirement communities. She's always available to help new residents get used to their surroundings during the difficult transition of moving in. Some retirement communities feel like they're just a place to live. Magnolia Heights feels like a place where my mother can be at home.
