I've lived here for about a year and a half. When we first moved in, we thought that this place was decent for the price. The interior is decent aside from the 1000 coats of paint on all of the cabinets and walls. It looks like a 5 year old painted in some places it's so sloppy. The fake, wood looking floor is pealing up in places and looks like crap. As for the grounds, it is pretty ugly. One unit in the front by the leasing office has a jungle growing on their patio. The rocks around the ...
pathways need to be filled in and there is trash all over. It would be nice if they installed some lights along the pathways. It is extremely dark at night. As for the pool, it was closed for pretty much the whole summer because is was neglected and couldn't pass inspection. For the few weeks it was open, there were beer bottles and trash all over the place. There were bees everywhere due to the overflowing trashcans. In the laundry rooms, the machines are always broken and there is trash everywhere. So far, the worst thing about living here is that we've been without hot water since Wednesday (today is Tuesday). We received an email over the weekend stating that it "should" be fixed by Monday or Tuesday. It is Tuesday and we are still without hot water. We have been taking ice cold showers for going on a week. This is ridiculous. Overall, I wouldn't recommend living here unless you're broke and can't afford anywhere else.

We are sorry about your concerns with Mesa Village. Changes continue to happen at the property and we have new personnel to ensure that the grounds are tidied up every day, and we hired a fantastic new landscaping company that continues to make improvements to the landscaping. We have also recently repainted each laundry room and have a few other plans in the works for continued remodeling for each of the three laundry rooms. All machines are working.
The water situation was totally unexpected and difficult for us to find out what was causing the problem. The problem was discovered to be underground and as soon as this was found it was taken care of. This required many hours of digging, and replacement of underground sections of the water lines that were damaged by tree roots.

Not worth the headaches

I lived at Mesa Village for 3 years, the first 1.5 year the property management was great, the grounds were clean and maintenance wasn't an issue. When management changed , everything changed, rent's skyrocketed causing long time tenants to move out. My rent didn't drastically go up so I renewed my lease, and immediately regretted it. The girls in the front office were extremely rude and unhelpful, the grounds look dirty and not well kept as well as the laundry rooms. The pool was never open in ...
the summer, maybe one month out of the summer- due to the fact that they never passed city inspection, the reasons they never passed were due to their negligence and lack of maintenance. The apartments themselves aren't ugly, I think they're some of the best you'll find for the price on the westside, but honestly as a resident, the last thing you need is to be stressed out by the property management wherever you decide to live. At times I'd call the office and no one would answer yet i'd walk to the office , phone in hand still ringing, and the ladies would be sitting there talking. I'd say pay a little extra and go somewhere else.
