poor management
April 28, 2018I lived at NorthGlen for just under a year. It was rather like a nightmare. Kari the property manager is no longer employed. she was fired. The management is rude, unfriendly and uncaring. All but $35 of my $500 deposit was returned after I moved out. I filled nail holes and left behind their exact sheen and color paint without credit. The carpets were old when I moved in but I was reassured they took this in to account. They did not. I was charged for "matting" and "soiling". I was ...charged for odors for burning incense. I never once lit incense inside the apartment. There is no such thing as "normal wear and tear". Do not be fooled. You will not get your deposit returned. Do not rent from IDM. You will love to regret it. Carmen, the current property manage is unpleasant and condescending. She would rather argue with tenants than help solve their problems. Move on. Northglen Villa
September 23, 2015This is a nice gated community which offers a nice location, it's a great place to live close to city and highways (I5 and I205) and has a feling of freedom from the busy city. Its a quiet community. Interior has a cozy feeling with a fireplace and rooms are well planned. I like that there are no problems with parking spots. Always find one close to my appartment compared to other appartments where have to drive around the appartment to find one. NorthGlen Villas
July 22, 2015I have lived at NorthGlen Villas for over three years...and counting...and here's why! As a single mom, I was looking for a safe home-like setting to raise my 8-year-old daughter. This is a community that cares about my family. The staff take immeasurable pride in the appearance and safety of the community. I love the safety I feel living in a gated community that is monitored regularly by Metro Security. The staff know you by name and go above and beyond the call of duty, from offering ...freshly baked cookies for the kids after school, sending a fax free of charge or quickly changing a burnt out lightbulb. There is frequent and regular communication so you always know what is going on in the community. On any given day you can spot someone working on the grounds or doing preventative maintenance, making a beautiful place to live even more so. There is a common area and playground where my daughter can safely run and play that is located just outside my patio door. During the summer, we live at the pool. Most apartment complexes have fixed dates when the pool is open. It is so frustrating when we are blessed with a long stretch of gorgeous summer weather perfect for spending the day at the pool...and it's closed. Not at NorthGlen Villas! They don't hesitate to open the pool earlier or close later depending on the weather. I love having my own covered parking space, removing any frustration of searching for an open parking space after a long day at work or with an armful of groceries and not worrying about needing to take extra time in an already busy morning to de-ice my windshield. There is valet garbage and recycling service five days a week, helping me to keep my home clean, and most importantly, not having to walk out to the smelly garbage compactor. Being a busy mom, I never have to worry about paying a late fee because they offer recurring on-line payments. The apartments themselves have an open layout so they feel large and homey, with high ceilings, lots of windows, a full-sized washer and dryer, plenty of storage, a gas fireplace and built-in bookshelves. There are so many more wonderful reasons why I love living at NorthGlen Villas, but you will just have to stop by and take a look for yourself. I was looking for a safe, beautiful home for my daughter and I, not just a place to live. I found that at NorthGlen Villas!Property Manager Responded
