Upstairs neighbors allow there dog to urinate off the balcony on to my patio, Had to move plants & uncomfortable even sitting on my own patio. Mgmt has been notified several times w/ pics & no justice only excuses

Older buildings updated units

Oasis isn’t a horrible place. It’s in a decent location with recently updated kitchens and bathrooms. Floor plans are average but kitchens in particular in our unit was small and poorly designed. No more than one person could use it without stepping in the way. Maintenance was fantastic! They worked hard every day from am to pm. Always came quickly and were very friendly. Pricing seems competitive and they allow dogs and cats. My issue was they had many rules which generally benefit ...

everyone but they were selectively enforced. Huge dog over 50 lbs? Against the rules but a Great Dane was happy accepted. Many many examples of no effort to enforce rules which mostly benefited the management. No security cameras on the property and as a result cars were being robbed on a regular basis. If you left a car unlocked it was ransacked for valuables. Little or no effort was made to curb theft. A car was also stolen as were numerous bicycles. Management would reassure residents they were working on solutions but no new solutions ever materialized. In all would not recommend.

Not a quiet place

If you want to hear everything your neighbors do then this is your place. You can hear everything from your neighbors having fun to loud walking and floor squeaking from above. Management doesn’t help all they tell you to do is call guardus and report it so they can come out, by then the noise has stop but as soon as they leave it starts again and you won’t be able to find a parking spot bc everyone has like 3 cars per person so good luck

They don’t care about you here

We’ve been here for 6 months and everyday of our stay we’ve smelled marijuana and we’ve told the leasing people and they don’t nothing about it. We call and email Them daily and they do nothing. Once our lease is up we will be moving out ASAP!

So far I've been living here for about 8 months. My experience here has been nothing short of amazing. The staff is impeccable in everything they do. Maintenance is on top of everything, the staff at the office is always incredibly professional, highly knowledgeable and handles its work with unparalleled proficiency, and is always genuinely happy to see you and help in whichever way they can. secure. I travel a lot for work and every time I leave I take comfort in the knowledge that my apartment and car will not be broken in to or anything stolen from me. The neighborhood is also conveniently located right in the middle of everything. There are strip malls, a Target, fast food places, Sentara Hospital, several family medical practices, and an elementary school all within walking distance. This neighborhood definitely sets the bar way up there when it comes to apartment living.

I will start with the one accolade, the staff is terrific. Other than that, if you like roaches, loud neighbors, paper thin walls, crappy parking spaces, and having your packages stolen; Colonial Arms is the place for you. This is (hands down) the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. And I use to live in the projects. Anybody who gives this complex a good review obviously lives on the top floor. This is a convenient apartment complex. It's close to everything. But there is no use of the clubhouse/coffee bar. The clubhouse has never been opened to residents to use as long as we've been here, 2 years. It is full of maintenance stuff, appliances, the bathrooms have mop heads hanging in there. It's dirty and not at all like is pictured. The staff is friendly and efficient. The maintenance staff is great and they do everything they can to help residents live happier. The halls are ...

cleaned mostly daily. It is very quiet here as a community but The rent is high for what you get and the neighbors are so loud if you are living on the bottom floor. The grounds are in need of repair. It's a swamp in most places when it rains/floods/after snow. The complex lost parking spaces when they repaved it. Some residents don't pick up after their dogs and there are fleas & mosquitos everywhere. The grass gets really high & full of pests. Not enough dog pot stations and they are also located in the "swamps" in the middle of the buildings. You will get charged for everything! Pool guests! No renter's insurance copy! The admin fee for billing you for the utiliites. Trash is 10.00 month and they don't empty the trash bins completely. There are no perks other than 2 rundown playgrounds for our kids and the fact it's close to the bus route, schools, and shopping. Some residents don't pay pet rent and have more than the weight limit and # of pets. There are cigarette butts EVERYWHERE! No privacy as the bushes are cut down so low, neighbors can look straight in your rooms. In the summer, when it's dry, it's really nice looking though and Tall old trees with character and rose and azalea bushes abound.

I moved to Colonial Arms in July 2014. Tiffany has been so helpful since move-in. Anytime I have an issue or concern she takes care of it with efficiency and a big beautiful smile. I work in customer service and not everyone loves their job but Tiffany makes you believe that she is here just to help and assist you. She has several hundred people to assist but she makes me feel like I am the only tenant. I was more than happy to renew my lease knowing that I can call Tiffany any time I have ...

I moved here in January and since hen I have been overly joyed with my experience. The office staff is friendly and the maintenance staff gets the job done. The property is well kept and love to go for walks around. I did have a couple issues when I first moved in and the response time from the time I called the office to the problem being fixed was 4-6 hours!!! The office plans lots of fun events for their community and for kids. Love it here.
