As I was leaving one time, my car got stuck and the landlord just sat in his truck and watched me struggle to dig my car out. When we first moved in there was an old toilet just sitting on the deck, it was still there when we moved out. The landlord never got around to moving it for us. The dishwasher was broken from the second week were there and it stayed broken until we moved out. Once again, he never got around to fixing it. The shower had mold growing from the ceiling and he refused to do anything about it. The complex had six washers and dryers but not one of them worked. The complex only had one hot water heater for the entire place so your shower was ALWAYS cold, no matter what time of the day you showered. When my boyfriend first moved in, I had my own place, so it was just him and his roommate. When his roommates girlfriend moved in the landlord said nothing but when I decided to move in he made just me and my boyfriend pay an extra 200 dollars a month just because I had a car. Our roommates had to pay nothing extra because neither of them drove. So at the end of the day we were paying 500 dollars and our roommates were paying 300 so in total we 800 dollars a month to live at one of the worst places in Ankeny. I am not writing this review to be mean I am just trying to save someone from the same stuff that happened to us. The place itself and the location would not have been awful if it hadn't been for the landlord, I have never met someone so rude and uncaring in my entire life. Save yourself the time and anger, find a different place to live.
