is probably pretty typical anywhere in that situation. However, once you sign that lease agreement they change completely. They do not care because it does not affect them personally, PERIOD. They have treated the tenants of Pinehurst Apartments like the forgotten stepchild of the Essex properties for I don't even know how long. Essex (the company that owns Pinehurst) is having money issues, so they cut a lot of the Pinehurst budget. This led to the grounds not being maintained as well as they used to, but the main issue is they cancelled the exterminator. There are literally spiders everywhere. Myself and every neighbor I spoke with has a ton of spiders inside and outside of their apartment on a regular basis. We all have complained to the office staff, but there is nothing they do to fix it. Again, they do not care because it does not affect them personally. The laundry facilities are disgusting. Tenants have found anything from condoms to used tampons in the machines themselves. We even had a homeless man living inside the laundry building at one point and he would defecate and urinate into the machines. Did they replace them? No. Again, they do not care because it does not affect them personally. I personally thought it was in a good area and I guess technically it is. But that does not keep your car from being vandalized, garages broken into, packages stolen off your front porch, cops being called to the complex at night, and the list goes on and on. I truly am writing this to warn you all. Pinehurst Apartments may be cheaper than some of the other apartments, but it's for a very good reason. Find another place to live, where the staff cares about the community and the tenant's personal well being. I highly encourage you to do your research and spend your money somewhere else.
