Good Location but Paper-Thin Ceilings

However, the walls and ceilings are made of cardboard, and everything heavily depends on how lucky you are with your neighbors — and especially with their pets. Our previous upstairs neighbors had a small dog that ran around the hallway from 1 to 4 AM. And our current ones have young cats that starting at 4:30 in the morning race around the bedroom, jumping, falling, tumbling, and playing with some kind of objects, rolling them around. Yes, ...YES!! — the ceilings are so thin it's like trying to sleep inside a drum they're bouncing on. All of our complaints and requests over the past 5 months have been met with nothing but formal responses from management, with no real changes. If it weren't for our kids' school being nearby and our hope that our complaints would eventually be heard, we would have moved out long ago.
