They don’t fulfill maintenance requests. Have yet to have a single thing I’ve notified them of fixed. Management also does not care and is petty and rude. They do not care about your things or what you think. They will bring people into your apartment to showcase it and give you no option to work around it. To me that’s a big deal to have strangers around my apartment while I’m
not their. Especially when I have thousands of dollars worth of my personal belongings out.

Be prepared to pay. So many rules they have here of the things you are not allowed to do, you get a feeling it's a student dormitory rather than an apartment complex to make a home. You better not be a smoker, because there is only one designated area to smoke at and they will fine you a $100,- dollar fee for lighting a cigarette in a parking lot before you made it to the designated area(for your guests too). With cameras on every corner it doesn't feel like you have much privacy. If you are ever ...
even a day to turn in the proof of the renters insurance, which is required here, you'll be paying a $75,- dollar fine and they will not negotiate with you. And the things like that just go on. It used to be one of the better places in Altoona, we had lived here for quite a while, but in the last two to three years it has changed so much for the worse. Once we moved out got charged a couple of mysterious fees that they never explained, besides being a repair fee and a late fee and we could not figure out what it was since the apartment was in a great shape, and everything was paid up and on time. They took it out of security deposit, which also took them more than 30 days to return. Hmm... that'd be a late fee! All that the management cares for is your money.

This place was wonderful. All you pay is electricity and they even give you internet and cable. Internet is super fast. I paid about $26 every month for electricity on a 2 bedroom with lights running all the time and if you pay more than $45 they reimburse you back anything over $45. Heaters are old and take forever to heat up the place though. As soon as winter came almost the whole apartment building needed maintenance work on their heaters because they wouldn't work but maintenance fixed it up ...
quick. Would definitely recommend as it is an incredibly good deal on a good Apartment. It's not luxury but it's great.
