Kids friendly place to live
March 13, 2025I have two young kids and I highly recommend this place for families. The indoor walkway surrounding the pool provides a safe and free space for children to play, offering peace of mind to parents. Additionally, the view from my balcony is simply stunning.Review from Apartments.com

August 31, 2024Ive been a resident at Tanglewood for a total of 4 years. I started by myself in a 1BR, moved out, then moved back a year later into a 2BR when i got married. As a family of 4 with 2 littles under 2, Its bittersweet to say we are officially done w renting and saying goodbye to our 3Bed2Bath! Now let’s get into my review. Prior to Cortney taking over as management- The pool was never open and always needed cleaning, the laundromat would be Out of order for months at a time, residential work ...orders Took forever to be completed, and Management never seemed to be up to date with what was going on as there seemed to be a new manager every few months. This past summer the pool was cleaned often and open, we havent had an issues with the laundry room, and have had no rodent issues. Theres even a maintenance man who lives onsite now. soon as a work order goes out he is on top of it. If there is ever a delay for any reason he makes sure to tell us. i have also noticed when i run into Cortney later, she reiterates the delay and reason for it as well, so there does not seem to be a lack of communication anymore either. The Community is very diverse and friendly. the complex is pet friendly, but even so they still keep the outside environment clean from animal droppings so the children can (and like to) play outside often. It's cheap for a reason.
July 31, 2019Avoid this place at ALL. COSTS. I lived here for both the previous and current management, and they've both been horrendous. Minnix seems to use this property as a training ground for new managers - there's a new one every year, and they all have no idea what they're doing. They also like to send you passive aggressive texts. - Staff is never in the office. EVER. Anthony, Keeley, the two Minnix managers, were ESPECIALLY bad about this. I have never walked up to the office to actually find ...them there. Even calling them is a toss up, as well as their email. There's no way to get in touch with them, and they charge you late fees for whatever because you couldn't get in touch with them. It's entirely unprofessional. -Because of above, you can't get packages from the office. One time I got my package 3 weeks late because I could never catch them in the office. I've even taken half-days off from work just to try and make it - I've called them beforehand and they still weren't there. - DON'T believe a single word they say regarding renting policy. I was often told inaccurate information about my lease, at my expense. - Water is shut off CONSTANTLY and with little notice. These shutoffs range anywhere from an hour ~ the whole day. - New electricity meters read MUCH higher than they did before. Our bill used to be about $60. Now it's $150. LP&L assures they're accurate. I keep my room temp 78F. Not a problem of Tanglewood, but it'll still get you. - Walls are paper thin. You can hear any music/walking/etc your neighbors do. - NO washer/dryer. They've been broken for pretty much my entire stay here. And it's been a long 4 years of a stay. They were fixed for like...maybe a month? They promised to install in January, then took until March. Broke again in late May, and they were still broken when I moved out. - Pool is closed. Indefinitely. 'Shocking the pool' 'no maintenancy guy' 'needs to be vacuumed' etc etc. the excuses are ENDLESS. This place doesn't have a pool, period. - There also seems to never be a regular maintenance guy? They're always leaving. The last guy we had was great, but he left too after a month or so. All the previous ones had less knowledge about fixing stuff up than I did. - Don't get me started on sewage backups. - Screaming children running around the inner court, their voices echoing off the walls and into your room. Not recommend
June 6, 2017I lived this apartment since Sep. 2015, and I moved out in May 2017. I lived here without any problem until the new management come in. When I made the last contract, the manager said to me I do not pay any additional fee for the two months because my last contract ended in March, 2017. If I need to pay for the additional months, I must made the contract until May because my moving schedule was fixed before I moved in. But, the new management charged additional $ 50 for each month. I paid them ...without any argument. And, I moved out at the end of May. My apartment was exceptional clean. But, the management charged me $ 150 for the cleaning. But, they did not say anything about my deposit as I do not have any deposit. However, I barely found my first lease contract. If I could not find this, I must be in trouble. I want to transfer here the statement the management sent me word by word. "Please remit the balance due immediately. If contact to our office is not made within 10 days of receipt of this letter we will proceed in our rights to turn this amount over to a collection agency." You may receive this letter after you move out. Please keep your contract, if you decide to live here. But, I do not recommend.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
