        It used to be a nice place to live but Greystar purchased the property and reduced the staff, amenities, and appearance while increasing the price two fold. I am unable to afford this property on a fixed income as a retiree hence my leaving the state. Thank you for your consideration.

        I have been fortunate to have spent the last two years living here at the Avant in Reston. Its location in Reston Town Center, means that I can walk to great restaurants, high end like Morton’s Steak House to quick meals like Shake Shack and Starbucks. The numerous stores attract a wonderful lively mix of people. And my apartment has views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. From the rental office experience, to the concierges, cleaning staff,to maintenance. It has met and exceeded my expectations. ...

        The location and design of The Avant is excellent, but deferred maintenance is a problem. The fireplace in the lobby has not worked for two to three years, the hallway carpets are stained and the hallway light fixtures have yellowed and cracked shades throughout, just to name a few items.
