Bait and Switch
February 18, 2025Very much a bait and switch complex. They lure you in with amenities, community events, security, and cleanliness. These are just a facade. The printer in the business center never worked. I had to have the front office print documents every time. The community grills and fire pit were in constant disrepair. I gave up entering maintenance requests because the tickets would be closed and nothing would be fixed. For months, the key fob system was broken. The intercom system was broken for even ...longer. The "security" hired during the fob system malfunction was laughable. Also, good luck if your vehicle is hit because the cameras don't work. The rent payment system was almost always down when rent was due. Many of the community events are either donation drives or they are put on by companies aiming to sell you something (ex: Verizon). At the heart of many of the issues is the front office staff and the lack of professionalism and communication. The central pool area was shut down without any notice. "Events" would only be posted in the elevators with no email or text notification. Fire alarm testing that was supposed to occur in the morning would end up happening in the afternoon (good luck getting your pet out of the apartment while alarms are blaring). After giving your 60-day notice to vacate and paying the fee, they will try to make you pay past the 60 days until a new tenant is found. They don't enforce the no smoking policy. There was a constant smell of weed in the elevators and halls. Cigarette smoking was done outside of the designated areas near the entrances. I could go on and on.Property Manager Responded

I love living at The Covington
November 24, 2019I moved here in August and from the first time I set foot into the office I could feel a big sense of community here. The rental fees are fair compared to what is currently available to people in the twin cities area. The location is excellent and there are a few lakes and nature reserve places near by. My one bedroom apartment’s layout is awesome. I have no complaints regarding noises. The outdoor pool is one my favorite spots here at the Covington. The gym is excellent. I had a personal ...experience with the office staff and they were unbelievably supportive. So far I have been to two social events and it was very fun. Great Living Space!
November 24, 2019My boyfriend and I love The Covington! We lived here in 2016 and left because we moved across the country. We came back to Minnesota and the staff at The Covington welcomed us with open arms! We've been here since February and it's truly the best apartment complex I've ever lived in. Somehow the noise within the apartments is minimal except from above, there are a lot of amenities, and the staff is absolutely wonderful! Every single person that works here goes above and beyond to get to know you ...personally and make sure you are comfortable and happy. You always get fun conversation and you never have to ask them twice for anything! I love going down to visit with them... plus they have amazing cookies that are just the cherry on top of good company. ;) The complex also offers free massages (AMAZING), free yoga classes, and has a pool and 24 hour gym. Honestly from the staff, to the building maintenance/cleanliness, to the location of the complex, this place makes you wonder why people even want to own their own homes. Check them out! Love it Here
November 17, 2019We moved in about 3 weeks ago and so far we LOVE it here. Every single member of the management team is amazing. They have done so much to make our move easy and take care of us. They literally make you feel like you are the most important thing they have to do regardless of how big or small your ask. Our unit was perfectly clean when we moved in. Pricey but worth it
November 15, 2019I’ve rented here since January and I really like it. They have a cleaner for common areas so it’s clean never dusty or worse. The layout is spacious and comfortable. Washer dryer in unit makes life easier. There is a lot of storage space both closets and space on your floor. Maintenance is quick to respond on everything from lightbulbs and microwaves failing to hair clogs and garbage disposal. I want to be clear that I’ve had little issues and they take pride in the building. The dogs living here ...are always happy and eager to say hello when passing in hall or entryway. I haven’t really used the party room but it is really nice and can accommodate caters too. The movie theatre is pretty nice but I think for the size it could use a larger tv or a screen and projector. The gym is a actual gym not just a few free weights and a bike. They have a massage each month currently but I stopped using mine (masseuse is a talker) I like to just lay down get massage and listen to music. In her defense I never did ask her to not talk but still seemed intrusive to the experience. The pool is a good size and well maintained, alongside are two areas with chairs and tables ,and a tv bbq area. They have movie night and get together nights which are nice to meet neighbors. Some weekends can be loud if you face the pool , close windows and it’s tolerable. The heat and water as well as air conditioning works perfectly.. I’d recommend it to others. I have a noisy neighbor but the staff is trying to address that .Property Manager Responded
