Just moved here from across Mt. Pleasant. The company is the same, United Apartments, and they offered me a free upgrade to a 4 bedroom from a 2 bedroom for the same price. The new location is a bit farther away from downtown, but not an unmanageable distance. The unit has central air and gas heating, cutting down those costs dramatically. The dishwasher and small washer/dryer are amazing. Overall this is the best place I've ever lived.

Fairly decent living

Deerfield Village is a fairly nice set of apartments to live at. Despite being college student apartments they stay mostly quiet and are well lit at night. The maintenance crews are very nice, respectful, and knowledgeable. You usually need to remind them once or twice to finally get your maintenance appointment fulfilled but when they do come it is quick and they fix what they were supposed to. The office at Deerfield village has fresh batteries available for smoke alarms whenever you need ...
them so long as you come during office hours. The office workers are polite and helpful with anything I've ever needed from them, but like I said above you need to remind them once or twice to get the maintenance order in. They clean the apartments every year (even if you stay over the summer) with paint and carpet cleaners. The drier in my apartment is the biggest issue, it usually takes 3 or 4 runs to dry my clothes, mostly due to the way the vent tube is set up when the buildings were built. The complex is a 2 or 3 minute drive from a disc golf course, or a 10 minute walk along sidewalks and trails through some woods. There is a party store down at the corner of the road and there is free transportation to the nearby college during the school year.
