Poor Common Spaces & Pests
July 28, 2023You pay for common spaces that are below subpar–half the fitness equipment doesn't work, the front doors are often not locked, and the garage doors are frequently stuck open so any one can park there. In the actual apartment, there are frequent leaks in the windows. Out of the 4 years I have lived here, I've had serious ant problems for 3 of them. When the inspector came out he mentioned they are in the foundation of the building and each time they show up it takes months before getting the ...situation under control.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Worst experience ever
September 14, 2020This building is not luxury at all. I moved in beacause realtor reccomended The Square Apartments. It is super dirty, nobody cleans or maintain common areas. Besides that it is usafe anyone can come in because the Call Box does not work and the main entrace remains open at all times. The aparments are very noisy, you can hear everything from your neighbours next door and steps above. They could have a great building if management answers the phone, unfortunately this is not the case.Property Manager Responded

Just because it says it is luxury doesn't mean it is

I'd rather rate with negative stars if you'd allow it
October 22, 2017If your idea of living in the center of it all, being accessible to shops, restaurants, and more, with walkability to almost everything, sounds utterly appealing, then The Square DEFINITELY ISN'T FOR YOU. You see, while The Square technically offers all this, it must be balanced against the harsh realities-- high rent, bare bones building management and maintenance (which, by the way, IS NOT LOCATED ONSITE), quickly deteriorating premises from the high turnover of residents and lack of attention, ...and last -- but definitely not least-- a living environment that tests the sanity of the most well-adjusted among us. You see, here in Ardmore, Suburban Square ratables rule, and the darling of Ardmore can do no wrong. The sad fact for residents living near this shopping mecca is that Suburban Square dominates our consciousness and unconsciousness 24/7. The adjacent loading docks at Trader Joes and the Ardmore Farmers Market receive deliveries at 9 pm and 5 am and all hours in between, 7 days a week, with tractor trailers running their engines and forklifts rumbling for hours as the goods are unloaded. And then there are the weirdly obsessive Suburban Square groundskeeping efforts, where blowers, vacuums, and power washers rattle your brain CONSTANTLY, with absolutely no regard for the rights of residents to a reasonably peaceful living environment outside of normal business hours. Make no mistake, there is NO PEACEFULNESS HERE. Never is there a day when one can open a window to enjoy a refreshing day without noise pollution. You WILL live as a shut-in. The construction at Trader Joes that has gone on for more than a year throughout the nighttime hours with sawing, hammering and dumpstering, and only wrist-slapping when noise complaints are lodged with the police department. Think the construction is winding down? Think again. It continues on at the new parking garage and planned apartment buildings along Coulter Avenue. Terrific idea, Ardmore. You haven't created enough misery, so you are planning more high-density housing adjacent to your shopping gem. As you consider a new place to call home, do yourself a big favor and stay away --far, far away -- from the insanity known as Suburban Square and The Square apartments. I am moving out after a year of hellish living, never to return to The Square, Suburban Square, or Ardmore.Property Manager Responded
January 22, 2019Hi there, My name is Ashley and I am the new Property Manager of The Square Apartments. I am so sorry to hear of your negative experience at The Square. While there are certainly perks to living near such a wonderful and bustling shopping complex, there also can be some downfalls. I would love to chat with you about some new things going on at The Square, like noise-reducing curtains we have found that have assisted residents experiencing noise transference. I would also love to share some of the great events we have hosted for our residents to make The Square an even more enjoyable community. I would love to have the opportunity to turn your opinion around if possible! Feel free to reach out to me directly at 610.466.5000. All the very best, Ashley Gredzinski Property Manager
