Rent Increase
August 16, 2015Location, location, location, but the apartment building is in need of more than new counter tops. Surprise puddles in the kitchen when the plumbing backs up, windows that don't shut tightly, and painted tile for the shower enclosure. When the ceiling collapsed due to a clogged drain upstairs, I got to see the substructure of this building. If there is a large earthquake.This building will pancake. Poor Communal Area Conditions, Inconsiderate Neighbors
September 2, 2015Despite the recent renovation of each unit, the communal areas are in a horrible condition. Carpets and walls are outdated, deeply stained and peeling off. At least one of the two elevators is constantly out-of-service, sometimes every other day. There have been also several plumbing issues during my 6-month tenancy so far. It is in the middle of the West Hollywood's party scenes and needless to say, it attracts noisy and inconsiderate young tenants. Additionally there have been at least two ...cases where the residents' mails/packages were stolen from the locked mailroom by a couple of non-residents who, somehow have gotten a copy of the key to the main entrance and the mailroom - based on security video clips. I have also heard from former tenants who were in the process of moving out, that the apartment had raised over 20% in rent after 1 year of tenancy. I cannot recommend this apartment and cannot wait for my 1 year is up.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
