West Side Marquis is a fully managed building with a mixture of rent-stabilized units and freely priced ones. The building itself is a little bit old. The hallways & the basement reflect that age. The appartment itself (2 bedrooms) is great:
- it has great distribution with lots of embedded cupboards in every room and lot more in the hallway.
- the balcony is very nice & big, and being a north facing appartment there is no bulding immediately in front so lots of sunlight even on 3rd floor.
- ...
the kitchen and appliances are new, with metal covers.
- the service in the building is great: 24h doorman, service to anything broken in the apartment 6 days / week, executed with less than a day response time.
Marquis is a great building if you want Low end of upper west side free market prices with a balcony in a doorman & fullservice building, and do not mind some parts of the building being a bit old.
