If you are really hungry after a hard day at the office, and your headed back to your cool Austin apartment, you need to drop by Freebirds first. While you're there, order their "Steak Monster Burrito" a 12 inch burrito loaded with black beans, fajita meat, onions, tomatoes, jalapenos and lots of cheese. If your really hungry, get the "Super Monster Burrito," an 18 inch Burrito that you will probably be taking back to your apartment and eating later. For a fast paced restaurant that serves quality Tex Mex food, this retaurant is second to none, living up to it's motto of "It's Not Normal!" From the little tin foil sculptures that decorate the windows, to the rock music that plays in the background while you custom order your food, Freebirds lets everyone know that they are: "Keeping it Weird" in the Austin tradition. Their website logo is a statue of liberty riding a Harley through a sheet of round glass, holding a burrito in one hand, while biker music plays in the background. How Cool is that? The website even offers a tutorial on how to eat your Burrito! Freebirds represents Austin in the laidback, customer friendly way that typifies why so many people want to move here.
