"There are so many live music venues in town that Birmingham apartment-ites can frequent, so when night falls, it really becomes a question of just where the best music is happening? Sure, you can catch any variety of pop acts, rockers and rap artists scattered about town, but for those looking for something a bit more hip and au courrant, make sure to stop by the Bottletree. Featuring some of the best acts in indie and underground music, including plenty of support for local artists, The Bottletree is your one stop shop for the hippest bands in the 205. It also doesn't hurt that have some wicked delicious food to munch on as well. Though unassuming at first, a closer look into The Bottletree reveals one of the most entertaining venues in town, with plenty of big acts stopping through time and time again. Indie darlings such as The Dodos, Pelican, Beach House, the Fiery Furnaces, and The Weakerthans are just a few of the hip bands that have graced The Bottletree's stage, with plenty more where that came from, and a whole long line of other famous, as well as emerging, artists making their way. For the hippest sound in town, the only place worth your money is Bottletree. Are you Birmingham apartment-ite finding yourself a bit hungry after all that rockin' out? Well, sit yourself down and pull up a menu, because there's plenty of great food for your to choose from at The Bottletree, all made right in house with fresh ingredients. Start out with some for their delicious starters, including their special Cajun sweet potato fries, onion rings battered with Pabst Blue Ribbon (the hipster's beer of choice), corn nuggets with red pepper mayo, the hummus plate, or their bread and spread plate, with a wide variety of spreads to choose from. On to main courses, you can choose from one of their delicious burritos, including the scrambler, with veggies, tofu and nutritional yeast, the Bandito, with vegan chili and cheese, or the black magic, withg black beans and jack cheese. They also have plenty of interesting sandwiches, including the Green Goblin, with sauteed veggies, havarti and pesto, or the Thunderbird, with turkey, red pepper mayo, and havarti cheese on sourdough, or delicious, original quesadillas, including a green apple and havarti version. This is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of delicious, healthy flavors available here, so you'll just have to come in and see for yourself. Birmingham may not be the hotbed for the hipster lifestyle, but with places like The Bottletree popping up, its growing into something special.
