The Garden Café, in the heart of Brooklyn’s Prospect Heights, serves up some of the most delicious fare in the city, though you couldn’t tell by taking in the restaurant. It may not have the shine and polish that some of the glitzier places around town do, but once you take your first bite, you’ll see it more than makes up for it with pure, delicious flavor. The moment you step in the door, the friendly staff will make you feel like a member of the family, helping to perfectly set the mood for this charming, quaint little bistro. Then comes the delicious food, consisting mostly of veal and steaks, cooked perfectly to your liking, always thick and juicy. The desserts are also to die for at this little eatery, including decadent tarts, torts, and pies, as well a ambrosial chocolate mousse. The menu doesn’t have the numerous options that many of the Manhattan hotspots do, but instead choose to focus on making the dishes they serve to the best of their ability. Any meal you choose is sure to delight and leave you more than satisfied, and is sure to keep you coming back.
