Write a ReviewDenver is full of fantastic parks, scattered all around the city, but taking them all in would take forever, so apartment-ites have to find a park that is right for them. Combining numerous activities, beautiful fountains and gardens, and lots of space to move, the City Park is the best bet for a relaxing afternoon out in the refreshing Colorado air. 314-acres of beauty, overlooking beautiful bodies of water throughout the park, the natural beauty alone is enough to take your breath away. For sports enthusiasts, City Park is perfect, with plenty of courts and lawns for your playing needs. They have a 12-court tennis complex, racquetball courts, and a public golf course, as well as fields for lacrosse, baseball and soccer. They also have a number of swimming pools for your swimming needs, as well as natural bodies of water for those wanting to take in a more natural feel. They even have paddle-boats for those wanting to explore the lake in other ways. They also have numerous natural wonders, such as their beautiful flower gardens scattered throughout, and some of the most gorgeous fountains in the city. Its also home to some of the most beautiful statuary in the city, including the historic Martin Luther King, Jr. statue. For the kids, there are numerous playgrounds scattered about, with enough slides, swings and jungle gyms for an army of children. When summer hits, City Park is the spot for some of the hottest summer concerts, including the Black Arts Festival and plenty of the city's most popular jazz concerts. The park is also home to some of the most popular spots in the city, including the Museum of Natural History and the Denver Zoo, so you won't have to stop your enjoyment of the park to take in some of the city's hottest locales. A walk in the park has never been so fun.
