Poorly Constructed and Managed
July 9, 2024Electrical in building is faulty. Power surges and outages about once a month. Board trips constantly. A/C hasn't worked for a month. Manager Jeremy excuses all of it with and refuses to make any adjustments/accommodations other than a window unit A/C, which is actually less energy efficient than the central that is supposed to be included in the apartment. We won't renew our lease and will make it a point to let anyone viewing the building know of the major issues with this building. If you WFH ...or enjoy central A/C in the hot Denver summers, definitely go look elsewhere. This isn't it.Property Manager Responded

While we cannot prevent mechanical issues, we have and will continue to address them in a timely fashion (I understand your a/c was replaced last week) and provide temporary solutions such as portable a/c's when a repair cannot be made same-day. Awful
November 29, 2023I initially had a good experience at Alta. There were some minor issues: security issues (packages being stolen, homeless people sleeping on the 3rd floor, bike theft), my fridge was also broken upon arrival which led to spoiled groceries. Lastly, my apt flooded due to a leak in the washing machine. I was extremely understanding about all of this because it seemed like management was doing their due diligence to fix the issue. I just moved out and was hit with a full repaint charge/ cleaning ...charge. I asked for pictures and saw a few minor smudges but nothing that should've warranted ~$300 in charges. These people are grasping for straws trying to make their money back from the "free month" of rent. For those of you all who are not from here, this complex is on Colfax and Sheridan. It is an awful neighborhood to live in and they are still charging a crazy amount. The five star reviews are a result of management hosting events and pushing people to write a review, sometimes even in exchange for a bag of popcorn.
