El Segundo Overview
Translated to mean 'the second' in Spanish, El Segundo is located in the hub of Los Angeles County. Home to about 16,000 proud locals, and a popular locale of the South Bay region, this exciting west coast hot spot has much to offer a variety of lifestyles.
What is the history of El Segundo?
Incorporated in 1917, El Segundo found its footing in oil refinery and is currently home to Chevron fuels. During World War II the city grew in the realm of manufacturing, with the Douglas Aircraft Company producing a wide array of dive bombers and more. The plant is currently operated by Northrop Grumman, and in 2006 El Segundo won the 'most business-friendly in LA County' award by Eddy.
How is the weather in El Segundo?
