Summers are hot, sunny and prone to humidity, while snow in the winter is common if rarely extreme. Falls are quite comfortable, with jacket weather the norm in the crisp evenings, and spring brings with it plenty of flowers and occasional rain storms.
How do I get around town?
Bus service around the city is operated by the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority, and commuter rail returned to the city in 2015 thanks to a new Amtrak stop.
