Penguin Park is the epitome of fun family parks. There is no better place for a birthday party or other celebration than among the enormous, fun playthings here at Penguin Park.Get a ride on the 26-foot kangaroo slide and climb into the 23-foot penguin. Kansas City Parent Magazine voted Penguin Park as the Favorite Playground. Take the trail down to the lake. Stop in one of the many shelter houses and hide from the rain, shade your self from the blazing sun or start a fire in one of the awesome BBQ grills. Picnicking is pleasure here. The parks and rec center has revamped the area to be even more kid friendly. hike with the kids or get a group of friends and walk the trail. You can get plenty of exercise on this trail adequate enough for two to travel. Take the dog or your best bud. If your new in town or just need an afternoon out of apartment visit this park for relaxing day getting back to the basics.
