The colors and natural geographic structures in this gorgeous park are simply amazing to behold. The history of Floyd Lamb State Park is as interesting as the sites. It began life as winter stopping point for traveling Native Americans and then in the 1950's it was a working guest ranch that was known throughout the area. It was famous for its guest sitting in wait for a quick Nevada divorce. Las Vegas apartment residents now come for the beautiful shady groves of trees and the four small lakes perfect for fishing. Come for the fishing and cook out or picnic right under the gorgeous groves. Bring the whole group from the Las Vegas apartments and use some of their group facilities and tables or just bring a date and wander the many walking trails.
