No matter how well Los Angeles folks cook steaks in their apartments, it never quite measures up to the quality of fair you'll find in your local steakhouse. That sends apartment-ites out into the night, searching for the best steak they can find. Well, stop your searching, meat-lovers, because one place serving them up hot, delicious and made-to-order is 555 East American Steak House. No matter what your cut may be, or how you like it, they'll serve you up a slice of beef that will have your drooling just from the smell. This beef isn't your normal beef, by any means. All of the steaks and beef ribs on the menu are one hundred percent USDA prime. The cows are corn-fed for 150, before being hand-cut and aged to perfection. The seafood from the menu is so fresh, you'll wonder if they plucked it out of the sea just this morning, and each and every one of their oysters is plucked from the cleanest of water. Before the beef, try one of their delicious appetizers, including fried calamari, baked goat cheese with roasted garlic, seared ahi, oysters on the half-shell, grilled artichoke with basil aioli, or try their fresh smoked fish plate. You could also choose from one of their delicious soup or salad options, including their crab bisque and French onion soup, vine-ripened and bermuda onion or roasted beet salad, or try their soup of the day. After that, it's time for the steak, and you have plenty to choose from, including usually cuts like the sirloin, mignon, rib-eye, or New York Strip, or you can try their teriyaki sirloin, in their special teriyaki marinade, their culotte, the most tender part of the sirloin, or their Kansas City strip. If you're not in the mood for a steak, there's plenty of seafood to choose from, from swordfish, to salmon, to seared ahi tuna, as well as fresh Australian lobster tail or linguini and shrimp. You can even choose to mix your lobster tail with a top sirloin for a fantastic surf and turf. Steak doesn't get much better than this.
