The park itself is expansive enough for many people from Myrtle Beach apartments to enjoy picnicking, hiking, swimming, fishing and even camping away from your Myrtle Beach State Park apartment. It's got it all, so jump right in! The wide, white beaches are separated by an awesome fishing pier where you can drop your line in the water for a small fee of $5, but if you'd prefer to just walk it, it's free. Behind the beach are the large dunes, and behind that is parking. With plenty of restrooms and picnic tables, this park is a great place for you and your friends to spend the day away from your Myrtle Beach State Park apartments. If you are staying for the day, there are miles of hiking trails here for exploration, featuring all sorts of natural landscapes. You can see the beach and freshwater pools, as well as the rare maritime forest. Just check in with the park ranger when you enter the park for directions to any of these features. And if you enjoy more of the fresh beach air to your Myrtle Beach State Park apartment, about 350 campsites are available, with sites for RVs as well as tents. You'll have to get the sites on a first-come, first served basis, but you also have the possibility of renting a cabin at Myrtle Beach State Park and space in two apartment style lodges. The cost to drive into this beautiful park is based on a per person basis, and that means $4 each for adults, $2.50 for seniors, $1.50 for children 5-15 and free for kids under 5. Myrtle Beach apartment dwellers get to the park off of South Kings Hwy just past the Myrtle Beach airport and enter through a beautiful tree lined avenue that is quite welcoming. To check the weather before you leave from your Myrtle Beach apartments, if your residence is further inland, just go to the Myrtle Beach State Park website and check at your apartment to make sure it's going to be a great day!
