With 55 acres of land to view beautiful plant species from around the world, residents of Cheekwood Botanical Garden apartments have plenty to peruse! The park itself, which also includes a 30,000 square foot art museum, has lots of history and is indeed a great gift to the tenants of Nashville apartments. The estate was given to the city of Nashville in the 1950's by Huldah Cheek Sharp and her husband as a site for a botanical garden and art museum. The permanent collection of art was donated from the Nashville Museum of Art, and money from the sale of the building was donated to refurbish the Cheekwood estate home. The absolutely lovely grounds will take Cheekwood Botanical Garden apartment residents approximately two hours minimum to see the entire gardens and the art museum. Sculpture gardens, seasonal plant highlights and the many Botanical Resources of the gardens will pull you in, along with the incredible art museum. But don't the two hour minimum stop you from spending an entire day here. Picnics are allowed and the Pineapple Room Restaurant is an excellent place to dine in while you're at the park. You may also order a box lunch if you'd prefer to be outside rather than inside your Cheekwood Botanical Garden apartment. In addition to the permanent collection, the Cheekwood Art and Gardens has consistent new shows for Nashville apartment residents to view. With such an excellent destination for residents of Nashville apartments to visit, the Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art also has many programs and classes for adults and youth. The art museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
