With a city as alive as New York, sometimes its important for apartment-ite to slow down and learn a little something. What better place to educate yourself, and have fun doing it, than at the American Museum of Natural History, one of the most famous locales in all of Manhattan, with its majestic lions flanking the entryway, right on the border of gorgeous central park. Featuring several fascinating exhibits, there’s always something new and interesting to learn at this museum, and as they rotate, you’ll hardly ever see the same exhibit twice. Though much of the excitement of the museum comes from its constantly changing exhibits, there are a number of equally fascinating permanent exhibits to discover. You can see one of the world’s largest meteorites at the Arthur Ross Hall, or take in their collection of dinosaur fossils, the world’s largest collection. They also have a number of fascinating exhibits are a number of different crystals, rocks and other geological wonders. The traveling exhibits are always exciting, featuring everything from wild animals to newly discovered photos of our solar system, so fans of science and the natural world will always have something exciting to peruse. When you have a lazy afternoon, or a weekend in which you aren’t doing anything, it can sometimes be hard to decide just what you want to do with your time, but one way you can learn a little something, while having a great time, is going to visit the American Museum of Natural History.
