This cozy cottage-like home has multiple lush outdoor areas and colorful boho decor. Because this home has one shared bathroom, a male tenant is preferred as sanctioned by the Federal Fair Housing Act for an owner-occupied property. Housemate's furnished, medium-sized room is 9' X 13' including a brand new full-sized mattress, a desk with chair, chest of drawers, new room darkening blinds, area rug, white leather club chair and shelved closet with ceiling light (it is the picture with sage green walls in the pictured main photo). Home has energy efficient central air conditioning and heating. This over 100 year-old house has a Hollywood pedigree. It was the former home of a burlesque performer Halo Meadows and her husband "The Amazing Criswell" who film buffs may recall from his appearance in the movie Plan 9 From Outer Space. In fact, the more recent tenant was an industry-known makeup artist named Harry Thomas who helped create the original makeup design for the munchkins in the movie The Wizard Of Oz and later became known for his monster-type makeup design featured in many 1950s and 60s sci-fi and horror flicks. Criswell and Thomas were good friends of filmmaker Ed Wood so his entourage including Vampira and others occasionally socialized at this home.
