Within McKinney itself, you’ll have lots to see and do. You’ll be 20 minutes to Mitas Hill Vineyard and there are lots of great breweries around. The Oak Hollow Golf course is 13 minutes away and Towne Lake Recreation Area is just 8 minutes away. This neighborhood park sits on 108 acres and curls around a 22-acre lake, which features a pier and paddleboats. It’s the perfect spot to relax in the sunshine and spend a lazy afternoon. You can also play on the volleyball courts, try horse-shoe pitching, or go for a leisurely walk on the 1.2-mile hiking trail. For those that are looking to get some great shopping deals, Allen Premium Outlets are just 9 minutes away. You’ll be 11 minutes to McKinney Performing Arts Center, host to a variety of one-night-only and recurring acts. Another perfect spot for the whole family is the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary (13 minutes away).
