    The walls and floors are so thin that you can hear everything. Upstairs neighbors running and stomping, screaming, yelling loud music and bass from next door. It's so bad that sometimes our whole apartment shakes. Our next door neighbors smoke marijuana every day and it makes our bathroom, bedroom and dining area stink. Good luck with management, they only tell you to call security after hours or call the police for drugs. They aren't helpful at all. Actually, the manager was very rude to me over ...
    the phone, wouldn't let me talk and hung up on me. I had to contact corporate several times (about our ongoing issues that aren't being handled and about management). Found out upon talking to our upstairs neighbors that the manager lied to them about us as well (very professional, huh?). For what you pay monthly, they don't offer much and they pack people in here like sardines (6 people in a two bedroom on top floor). Living here is so uncomfortable and miserable. It was okay at first but it's getting worse. I can't wait to leave here. Oh and fun fact: I learned from our neighbor that some of these apartments caught fire and burned down. Beware!

    Neighbor tenants play music at very loud volumes, constantly stomp and bang on the floors and the mail area constantly smells of marijuana.

    First, I want to say I am very happy to live here. The people on the office have been pleasant and helpful. Things that needed fixed were fixed when possible. I feel happy to come home for once. I gave 4 stars because it wouldn't let me 4.5 stars. 4.5 stars because I feel a lot of the stuff in the apartment is outdated and probably should have been replaced (they are going to work on that and up the rent from what I understand) and things should have been cleaned better before renting out. I ...
    won't go in to specifics because I feel it may just be my standards that make me feel this way. Either way, I do suggest giving this place a shot!

    Kiln Creek is the perfect location for families, it is convenient to everything, very quiet, and safe. This complex is awful. We lived here for a year, and had nothing but issues since day one. For starters, we were not given a walk through before being rushed through signing our lease..which should have been a red flag, but we were very anxious, and needed to move. The apartment was not finished when we came in, outlet covers missing, toilets double flushed(never fixed), dishwasher leaked(it was ...
    replaced a month before we moved out), the sink in the guest bathroom leaked (so bad that it had to be replaced), drawers in the kitchen broken(with screws sticking out, the piece was thrown on top of the washer), washer leaked, dryer kept tumbling when the door was opened (washer/dryer were fixed), refrigerator/freezer leaked(several times, and was never fixed), the a/c unit was broken, it also leaked several times, and froze over causing it to be over 80 degrees in the apartment. It leaked so bad, that it went into the downstairs apartment, it was never fixed, just patched up (there was duct tape on the pipes.)The broken unit caused our electric bill to be over $200! Also, the closet in the master bedroom reeked of cat urine, which we had to go back and forth with the office for 2 weeks about, before they cut it out and replaced it(by the way, it says in the lease that they will not replace sections of carpet, they will replaced the entire carpet.) The office staff were always rude, and talked over you. Christy and Jennifer were the absolute worse. Barbara was the only pleasant one. They went through 3 front leasing consultants in the year that we were there. There were only two maintenance staff, who also worked on other properties. The female staff was very sketchy, and did not honor our wishes. She would only come into our apartment when we were not home(after requesting they not go in when we were not home; we had a note on our account, which showed at the top of each work order we signed.) The male staff was always pleasant and honored our wishes, he would call before he showed up as we asked, and ask us what day would work for us, so that he could be there. Upon moving out, they tried to charge us a carpet cleaning fee(which we did not pay after contacting their corporate office.) The office then tried to butter it up, and say that because there were no pictures, we shouldn't have been charged. We would have loved to stay if management was better.

  • Not a place for pets

    I lived here for a year and my neighbors were constantly harassing me about my dogs. Even telling me they were gonna call the ASPCA. None of my other neighbors ever heard my dogs barking. The office was useless and basically said it was my word against theirs. I got cameras to record my dogs throughout the day and brought those as proof that they weren’t a disturbance. Finally the apartment management seemed satisfied and left me alone, although my neighbors never stopped harassing me. I had to ...
    miss two of my classes because of maintenance. I told them they could not go to my apartment and the office staff talked down to me saying “it’s okay sweetie” and ignored me telling them now was not a good time. I then got a complaint about my dogs barking. No duh. I would have removed them from the apartment if I knew maintenance was gonna be in and out for four hours. They never fixed our garbage disposal. I paid 500$ pet fee and was charged 35$ a month. That amounts to almost 1000$ and none of that goes toward repairs like the carpet. I also got charged 200$ for new carpets. So that 1000$ I paid for pets was just for “the privilege of having a pet”. What a rip off.

  • Dissatified tenant!

    My stay in this complex has been pleasant. I've lived here since August 2014. The community is quiet and the outside appearance is nicely kept. The FRONT office staff is pleasant and always professional, however the property manager in that back office she is another story. The Maintenance crew is professional, I have no complaints. They address all concerns promptly when brought to their attention, I understand they can only do what is allowed on their level. My problem I'm having is ...
    regarding the water leaks. Because of continued used of faulty old appliances that need to be replaced with new appliances and new connections. I'm face with a high water bill and expected to pay for my usage and their problems! When speaking with Cindy about my concerns she said she would address them with the manager, but the manager didn't want to address anything with me. That was disappointing. I don't feel like I'm a problem tenant. I wasn't satisfied with her response and asked to speak with someone above her. She told me that the property manager would be in on Monday and I could speak with her at that time. But at least to still pay the rent and I did. When I went in to speak with the property manager this morning, she didn't address me directly. Instead she just passed messages through Cindy.... I've had a water leak from the water heater and an issue with the toilet that also has affected my water usage. I'm offered a $25 credit towards an $131 bill...OK, that's the toilet what about the water heater. It's just myself and two kids in the home. You can't get tired of addressing reoccurring issues if you're not fixing the problem permanently. They're just patching it up. When addressed indirectly this morning, she indirectly told me among other irrelevant things to make her aware of issues when they occurred ....placing the blame on me....but the issue with that is I did report once noticeable to me. Those problems should be caught during these random inspections and also from complaints of others. For anyone thinking of moving in do your research. Once your a tenant in Feather stone the real issues are made known, which occurs from the inside out after the least is signed. The real issues lies beneath the surface. And you will be the one held accountable to pay for management issues and mistakes, at least this is my story.

    Do not ever rent a place from this company. I lived at one of there properties in 2008 moved out gave notice and now they have garnish my wages and put a lien on my bank account almost 10 years later. They are saying I owe them 7,000. I must had been living like a prince to pay that much in rent when they were given notice. SCAM!!!

    My experience at Featherstone has been great! When you live in place where you are cared for and treated with respect, what else do you need? The Office Staff is very nice and professional and will work hard to make you happy. The Maintenance team is always there when you need them. It is not only the location and the area, which is nice, but living in a Family oriented environment is what makes you feel at home, comfortable and secure.

    Stay far away from these pigs , had orders to move and they wouldn't accept them told me I still had to pay , years later garnished my bank accounts and took my money and I let it go but now They are trying to garnish my wages even though I payed them in full , this is absolutely crazy don't trust these rude disgusting liars they don't really care about our service men and women just themselves and their money

    With a little better insulation and some building cleanup these would be the best apartments around. We have lived at Featherstone for over a year. You simply can not beat the Kiln Creek location. It is central to all major shopping and anything you need in the city. The front office and maintenance staff are attentive, considerate and understanding. They tend to our smallest issues ASAP. Our only complaints for the apartment itself are the lack of insulation around the windows and padding ...
    in the carpet. During the winter our windows sweat and you can feel the cold air coming in. As for the carpet padding, while you expect noise living in apartments the thin pad under the carpet multiplies every noise from the above apartments. The outside stair rails were recently painted, but the buildings and stairs themselves need a good power wash. All in all we are happy we chose Featherstone and will stay until we have a reason to move.
