Awful management, horrible maintenance

Building management is incompetent and rude. Maintenance is worse. The building is poorly maintained and the whole place is infested with roaches. Currently they are working on redoing the plumbing in the building, which has been a massive and uncompensated intrusion into our personal space and caused nothing but headaches. There are not giant open holes in our walls covered by nothing but paper and tape, and after additional “work” today these coverings are now falling off and riddled with ...
holes, meaning free access for the bugs that infest the building to enter our apartment through the walls, They also left a massive mess in our kitchen and bathroom. Maintenance is rude and unhelpful. I reported a leak in our ceiling last week and after spending 30 seconds looking at it the guy they sent said he’d “be right back” and then completely disappeared. It still hasn’t been resolved. Security does nothing to curtail the people who keep making their way into the building and stealing packages and harassing our neighbors. The laundry room is a nightmare and largely nonfunctional. We are still trapped here for a few more months because of the lease we signed, and I intend to spend that time working with the LA Tenants Union to make management’s life as difficult and possible and maybe leave this place better than I found it.
