Renters Reviews and Ratings
Excellent location, average apartment
August 24, 2015 - Review from Apartments.comI have always dreamed of living in Harlem so when the opportunity to move here arose, I was ecstatic. Besides the shady characters you see on 125th and Lexingon every day (if you are scared of drug addicts, this is not the neighborhood for you), I love the location! We are 2 blocks from the 125th st station and can be to grand central in 10 minutes. Union square takes about 15 minutes. Crosstown bus available and bus to Laguardia a block away, although cabs are affordable. Even though there's a ...lot of hustle and bustle on Lex, once you get to 3rd Ave it feels a lot safer and there's even a police station down the block. I'm super satisfied with the location. As far as the apartments, they are in major need of an update. My roommate and I get the place cleaned professionally once a week and still can't get the stains out of the tub or get the floors to shine. The place is just old so there's no way to make it look sparkly again unless they renovate. Also, we inherited roaches with the place. They are generally small but at one point it became a huge problem. We have put out the traps and that has helped a lot but it's something to be aware of. I've never seen a mouse though so very grateful for that. Neighbors are great and friendly but typically mind their business. We do have the stereotypical older nosy lady but I don't see her much so it's fine. Oh and one annoying thing is there's no buzzer in the building so anytime you get a delivery you need to leave a note with your number on the door. I've missed a lot of packages because of it. Overall great location but super small and outdated apartment, so I gave it 3 stars. Would give it 3 and a half but can't really do that. Hope This helps!Read More

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on scale of 1 (below average) and to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider needs as part of the school selection process.
