Modern, Upscale living in a historic neighborhood with tons of character

A true hidden gem in a district of Richmond, VA known more for old homes and Victorian duplexes. Built in 2014, my town home meets all my needs an more! Let me start with the finishes: builders grade stuff, nice molding, stainless Frigidaire appliances (microwave, dishwasher, fridge, stove – all electric), all brand new! time – which is all we want, right? Nice flooring; easy to clean, smooth granite countertops and a nice double sink with disposal make kitchen life easy. I do wish there was more counter space and cabinet space though – 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 3 roommates means a lot of different foods for different people and not enough space to store it!
Location of cable jacks on the walls are not ideal – I know you can run the cable wherever, but I don’t want wires everywhere. Additionally, no Verizon FIOS is available here. Bummer. Comcast signal here is very weak – it’s really my biggest complaint.
Bedrooms are all small, but liveable. I recommend a full sized bed, not queen, unless you’re in the upstairs master. With a queen, though, that’s the only thing you’re fitting in there. Bathrooms are fine – finishes again, good, but NO storage at all. No medicine cabinets, and pedestal sinks. Not ideal. The downstairs shower also is under the stairs, so the shower rod runs like an L shape on a low angle – again, not ideal, but doable.
The Balcony is a delight; big, open space, safe to walk on in bare feet, plenty of room for chairs, small grill, tables, people, hosting, everything. Really love the outdoor space.
The experience at this property so far has been great – a few minor storage details, but everything else that’s a positive trumps the others!
