Renters Beware
January 4, 2026The good reviews on this site are from when Millcraft owned and operated the building and are not a reflection of Berger who has destroyed every good thing about this property. Thank goodness they can’t take away the view, cuz they’ve taken away most of the amenities , cleanliness and safety we all once enjoyed. The list is too long to include all. Short list? Valet parking and safety that came along with it, regular cleaning and shampooing hallway carpets and exterior of building, package ...services, community portal, zero communications from mgmt, elevators that don’t operate and continually break down, allowing or airBNB resulting in numerous police calls, smoking, drugs, and other incidents. They’ve added numerous fees to our rents that didn’t exist before and now they’re charging us for trash removal and forcing us to place it in the hallways. Stay away from any Berger run properties. You’ll be miserable and they’ll make renting hard. Just the thing they propose to not do.Property Manager Responded

10+ Year Resident: Parking Disaster Under Berger
January 3, 2026As a 10+ year resident, I am horrified by Berger's sudden decision to remove valet parking with zero resident input. No surveys or satisfaction checks were conducted, and the abrupt change left no opportunity for feedback to be considered. Despite many residents repeatedly complaining, Berger dismissed, ignored, and gaslit tenants while showing no empathy. When asked about guest parking, management suggested guests pay costly street or garage rates. The valet-designed garage had its lifts ripped ...out, cutting parking by about a third, and forcing residents to park off-site, creating serious safety and liability concerns.Property Manager Responded

Property in decline
January 2, 2026Since this building was bought by Berger it has steadily declined. What used to be a luxury, immaculately maintained building has become a disgrace. While rents have consistently been increased, Berger consistently removes amenities and fails at even basic responsibilities of a landlord. Common areas are not maintained, maintenance requests go unaddressed, snow removal is not done at all, communication from management is disingenuous and security is non existent. As a long time resident, I am ...heartbroken that my home has been allowed to come to this. I would not recommend this building to anyone and will be moving once my lease expires… unless Berger sells and a responsible management company brings this building back to what it should be.Property Manager Responded

Stayed here 4 years. Best apartment Ive ever stayed in
April 19, 2021I've stayed here for 4 years. For the location, amenities, services.... the price that you'd have to pay to stay here is AMAZING! In NYC you'd get maybe a tiny run down studio... but in this apartment, I felt like a king living here. The apartment has great views as well. There is a restaurant in the same building and a beautiful resident lounge on the 3rd floor. Moving in and moving out was a seamless process with the giant freight elevator. Great Location in Downtown Pittsburgh
September 18, 2015River Vue is a great apartment community in the perfect location in Downtown Pittsburgh. At River Vue, your front yard is Point State Park with easy access to the River, Stadiums, Trails and all the downtown amenities. Pretty much everything is in walking distance, but there is also a T stop just a block away. The apartments are spacious with great views on every side of the building. The building management is very professional and all areas are well maintained. I've lived in a few other ...buildings in the downtown area and the location is convenient and much quieter than any other building I've lived in. The only things I would improve would be to have a more spacious and functional (and maybe outdoor) common area for building residents. Also, I would remove the carpet from the living space in the apartments as hard wood or concrete would be much more desirable, especially for residents with pets. The best your money can afford
August 8, 2015This apartment which we had rented after reviewing and viewing many in Pittsburgh area was a dream come true for my husband and I. It's located on the right spot in downtown, very close to point state park which we love visiting every now and then without having to worry about parking . The maintainance is very quick to respond to any sort of complaint not that you would have many. We had trouble with our fridge and as soon as we placed our complaint in building link app we got the response. The ...valet parking is the best you would be asking for the money you pay. Quick to respond and get your car at any time of the day or night. The gym is really good and you get access to it 24x7. Thursday's you have a farmers market in market square which is the best place to find fresh organic veggies within 2 minutes distance. Most flats have amazing views and are very secure. There are occasional events for the residents to get to know each other and there are many events that take place in point state park like art festival, New Years event, yoga day and so on and so forth that keeps any persons boredom at bay. Overall experience in this apartment has been very fun and fulfilling.
