Spend Your Money Elsewhere
August 9, 2018I've never experienced such turnover and miscommunication than I did living here. When we first moved in 2016, Grey Star managed the property. Now, they are managed by United Apartment Group. We had to come to an understanding about WHEN we could move out, because the previous office manager hadn't saved anything. It has now been over 2 months, and I've had to email back and forth the new manager over a $200 discrepancy in how much we paid for our deposits. They showed us getting a $38 credit ...back, which they didn't even just send, we actually had to call. THEN, we had to ask for the breakdown on where that came from only to notice the security and pet deposits were completely wrong. I had to send a photo of the original lease (luckily I had it). When we didn't hear back, I threatened further action. The manager said that Christa did the walk through, she was no longer there, and he would have to try and reach her to go over what she saw that needed to be repaired. I explained AGAIN that the discrepancy was not with the repair or replacement of items but how much we paid when we moved in. He asked for me to send the lease again...I sent the full page and circled where the deposits show. I asked for him to please let me know he had received it and was working on it...two days later, and I've heard nothing. For the amount you're going to pay, I recommend going elsewhere in San Antonio. The property is not kept up. The gutters are full of leaves, the fireplaces aren't cleaned, you'll end up with lovely shag carpet and outdated cabinets. Go elsewhere.Property Manager Responded

Management went downhill, breached security
September 22, 2017Used to be happy here. Then was moved by them to a problem apartment, got a new manager. Giant cockroaches, bare cement, backed up plumbing, garbage disposal that maintenance said would work if I didn't use it at all, etc.. Bigger problem than the apartment is the manager. I have security equipment for my job, have told them I MUST BE PRESENT anytime anyone enters. Last night killed a giant cockroach in the hall, requested eradicate BEFORE the cockroaches can enter, while they are still ...crawling over the grounds. Manager allowed pest control into my apartment while I was at work, let them spray poison inside, don't know what kind of poison it is, what they touched or may have taken of my high security equipment or files. They couldn't care less that they breached my security, poisoned my living space, and apparently show the same disdain for my neighbors here. Beware.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

August 17, 2015New manager and maintenance tech are a great improvement over the former staff. The manager is a total professional, she is courteous,understanding and is working hard to make this community a great place to live. Nate the maintenance tech is hard working and dedicated to fixing problems that arise in a timely manner, I am finally content that my air conditioning is working properly, the former staff insisted that there was nothing wrong and that the air conditioner could not keep up with 100 ...degree plus weather because I lived in an upstairs apartment unit and I had high vaulted ceilings.. horse hockey!!! Maintenance tech cleaned the evaporator and the condenser unit as well as the blower fan housing outside and now the apt is cool in 100 degree plus weather. They are really trying to make improvements to the premises and I can see changes like lighting, as well as beautifying the grounds.
