Like living in a horror movie

Don’t waste your time
February 15, 2023I applied 3 weeks ago and the phone has been disconnected for 2 weeks. They don’t respond to emails either it’s really a waste of money on app fees just for them to keep pushing my move in date back without even talking to me.Property Manager Responded

Bait-and-switch **Buyer beware**
January 10, 2023I applied to lease an apartment for their advertised monthly rent of $1,050/month. I paid the administration fee and deposit totalling $700. Once I finally received my welcome letter on a Thursday, I was told to write out a check for the first month PLUS the $700 I had just paid. When I reached out to the recruiter they told me to just write the check anyway and she'll figure it out. Seems like I was bothering her not wanting to pay 2 deposits. On the Friday, the next day, I receive an email ...stating that my apartment that I signed for and paid for and had already gotten all utilities connected for, was "under renovation and there is currently no eta." "But don't worry, I have 2 other units that are 2-$300 over what you signed up for. Let me know immediately if you want this." Of course I said no. If they can't even bother to make sure that the apartment I'm spending thousands of dollars on is even available, how can I trust them to do anything? Repairs? Cleaning? Removing pests? Yeah right. No chance. As of writing this on a Tuesday, 3 days after cancelling my lease, the same exact unit is being advertised as "available now." September 15, 2022This is not a great place, the rent is extremely hight and most the amenities are not functional. The pool open for a day or two and they close we never got to enjoy the pool through the entire summer, the gym is officer hours only which is very inconvenient since most people work during day time so its very limited. The fob I was provided to access the gym from the pool entrance never worked and I'm forced to walk inside the office all sweaty in front of current and new tenants. The apartment ...has a lot of issues during our initial move in and the management team assured that it would get fix. Kitchen counter tops were in bad shape you left our kitchen stuff siting in the table for weeks and never got fix we had to fix it on our own. The closets were falling off, we also fix it on our own because we reported the issue multiple times and they wouldn't send anyone to get it fix. The washer and dryer both had issues the dryer won't dry properly and you have to continuously turn in back on it takes hours to dry a small load. The washer every now and then leave all clothes soak and wet. We were forced to take the apartment because we moved out from our old apartment and we believed that all the issues we found were going to be fix in a timely manner. There is a lot of crime going on near our apartment unit in the surrounding buildings. Gunshots almost every week and they even reported a fatality right in front of my apartment unit. I'm over all not satisfied with Ashford place. Also, in the entrance of the apartment complex around 3p-4p there are a lot of cars blocking the entry/exit of the apartment complex this is people waiting to pick up their kids at the bus stop . there are signs of no parking but since management does not enforce them the parent keep parking and blocking/obstructing the entry ways. This is very frustrating specially when I go in for work in the evening or I'm returning from work and I can seem to be able to get to my destination. I'm not getting my money's worth at ashford place, I don't recommend it.Property Manager Responded
