    I've been living here for about 7 months now. This is a really great place in a mellow neighborhood with very attentive management. NEIGHBORHOOD: there's a lot of senior apartments nearby, so you know it's going to be a quiet place. Within walking distance of a big Cub grocery, a couple of little local restaurants such as Snuffy's and Key's cafe, and a few other stores. There's some nice bike and walking paths going further into St. Paul by the Como Zoo. You'll probably do most of your shopping ...
    in Roseville. About a 15 minute drive from downtown St. Paul and 15 minutes away from Minneapolis, but to get anywhere good in Minneapolis it's more of a 30 minute drive. Public transportation into St. Paul is good since the apartments are right on the bus line, but getting to Minneapolis is going to be a little rough. MANAGEMENT: the property manager is always easily available. Generally if I have a question I just walk down to the office and someone is there to help me. Every time I have put in a maintenance request form I have always gotten a response within a week, but usually it only takes a day or two. APARTMENT: Neighbors are real respectful and generally pretty quiet. I've never heard anything coming from the neighbors on either side of me. I have heard my neighbor upstairs walking around sometimes but nothing crazy. Apartments are very nicely maintained. The only knocks I have on the place is because it's old, I'm never guaranteed a consistently warm shower. If there are other people showering or the washer is going, the hot water will go in and out. If you have a car, there is no guaranteed parking in the parking lot either, since there are more cars than spots. There is a parking garage though that you can pay extra a month for. OVERALL: would recommend this place to anyone. Well managed, kept up, comfortable neighborhood.

    Hello my name is jose, and the reason why i love my apartment is simply this, i dont have a car Normally that would be a Problem, but not here cause im surrounded by everthing i need u know super markets etc, and best of all im right on the bus or light rail line, and also biking back and forth to work in the summer time is something i really love doing, so yea those are just a few reasons why i love it here at CALIFORNIA APTS.

    It's crazy cause my wife is originally from California and im from minnesota, well this is our second apartment in 7yrs, been here now for six of them we love it, okay well the funny thing is both of them have been on streets named..(you guessed it)..california, guess it was meant to be. Location wise and commute is absolutely perfect especially since neither of us drive. We love our apartment.

    I've lived in California Drive Apartments for over 4 years now and l love the location in the Como Park Neighborhood! Close to the Lake and right across the street from the grocery store, Chinese food, and public transportation. The management/owners has always impressed me with their upkeep of the property. Very well kept and clean as can be. Any issues have always been taken care of asap. Super neighbors and very quiet which is great for me because I work nights and sleep during the day. ...
