March 10, 2026have had so many ongoing issues since moving into this apartment. It started with our apartment being overrun with ants as soon as we moved in. On the first day that we moved our stuff into the apartment, we went to the pool to cook for those that helped us move and by the time we got back all of our belongings were contaminated with ants. We woke up in our beds with ANTS crawling all over us. When I went to the office it was basically brushed off and I was “added to the list” for pest control to ...come in 10 days later. This is still an ongoing issue that we have had to use personal resources and funds to resolve since their service is so unreliable. The apartment was absolutely FILTHY when we moved in from the previous tenants. There was still trash in the drawers of the kitchen, crusted food still stuck to all of the cabinets, baseboards, and walls, staples and nails half out of our wall simply painted over, stickers all over the walls, appliances, and counter spaces, and other concerning issues related to the cleanliness of the space. Our swamp cooler went out for 6 weeks through August and September (over 10, 100 days) within the first 2 weeks of us living in the unit. There was absolutely NO offer for reconciliation. In fact - We had to request a portable AC unit that came with rancid water and black sludge in the unit. When we took it to the office, we were met with immediate accusations that we broke the machine and almost had a physical altercation started by the lead property manager. We reached out to the District manager which took an additional 6 weeks and 3 emails to actually get a response to basically say “Oops. Sorry. It looks like everything is resolved now.” When it in fact was not. There was absolutely no offer of prorated rent for any of the issues that we encountered when first moving into the space and continue to have issues with maintenance in the timeliness of addressing calls. My sister moved into a unit in building 18 and was left without a functioning stove for 6 weeks after she moved in. Again, absolutely no offer of prorated rent or compensation for the delay and added charges of not being able to cook at home. Overall, I am incredibly disappointed with all of the staff here at Canoan Village and frankly at Greystar; however, the area of town and patios are such that we are trying to make it work best we can. Don’t go to Greystar Properties
November 16, 2024Literally have to call them constantly to fix maintenance items, or it won’t get done. They are hard to track them down in person or by phone if you need to speak to the front office directly. They will push every operating cost onto renters they can. They would push property taxes if they could on top of base rent. They literally charge each resident for the pool water and electricity in the common room and their offices. They also charge you for in unit “internet” that doesn’t work well. I had ...multiple tech visits to try and fix the internet and they still couldn’t do it. Upon moving out, I was told that I would be charged an early termination fee for moving out before 60 days, or I could extend for another month at month-to-month rates- which I did. Upon move-out, I was charged 162 in cleaning fees-even though I left the apartment cleaner than when I moved in-as well as an early termination fee (one full month’s rent) that they told me I would avoid. It was exactly 60 days of notice if the day I turned it in was counted as well…Property Manager Responded

August 23, 2023I love my apartment and the leasing team is very friendly. Also, maintenance is very responsive to my requests, which is a big deal to me. A couple concerns I have though is the leasing team is frequently not in the front office during business hours, the laundry facility is a little messy, and people are bad about picking up after the dogs (even though there are bag stations all over the place).
