November 13, 2021where to live now that you can choose any student housing in lubbock? PICK THE CENTRE/SUITES. beware. bad management. high prices. FIRE ALARMS AT ANY HOUR OF THE DAY AND NIGHT FOR WEEKS ON END. they’ll compensate their incompetence with donuts and free water bottles. the pool is always dirty. the locks on all the outer doors are broken, so the illusion of safety is immediately broken. the elevators don’t work and last week the found a dead bird in the one of the vents by my apartment, so the ...entire hallway/staircase has smelled like rotten cheese for two weeks. as i’m writing this at 6am on a Saturday, the fire alarms have been blaring for almost 20 minutes with no end in sight for the 2nd time this week. YOU WILL REGRET SIGNING A LEASE HERE. Oh. and i’m like 80% sure it’s haunted and I WISH i was kidding about that part.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Dont move here
October 3, 2021The grackles migrate to the area and fill the trees making noise though-out the night and early morning. The grackles excrement turns the side walks white. The excrement is not cleaned often. Logies bar makes noise all night long so if you live on that side of the building, sleeping is a nightmare. If you haven’t read the lease read it! They will not let you out the lease no matter what happens. There is no way to break the lease and if you try to sublease they will charge fees up the wazoo. The ...exterior doors are either broke or do not secure so anyone can enter the building. The elevator at times sounds like your going to get stuck. February 23, 2019The Centre at Overton Park is a great place to live off-campus! It’s location is unmatched, you are a short 15 minute walk from the heart of Campus! February 22, 2019Living here has been amazing! It's so convenient- extremely close to campus, I can literally just walk across the street. All of the restaurants that are close by to are great. not run efficiently at all
September 10, 2018If I could give a zero I would. We showed up the day of move in and they didn't have an apartment for my daughter. They said management had changed and she didn't keep correct documents we waited a day to find out if we had a place to live. We had just driven 1096 miles with a trailer loaded with furniture and two guys rented to help us move. We had to come back 2 months later to move into permanent apartment. More expense on our end. Not cheap to drive 1096 miles again. They promised and 800 ...gift card for signing lease, we have yet to receive it. Our car was towed and cost us 125 dollars because the sticker they gave us in may expired in July. They said a paper was posted in the garage by the door. Six other kids got towed for the same reason the same day. They do not return phone calls, you cannot talk to management, and they hardly ever answer the phone. The voicemail to leave a message of you get locked out was full one night, so you couldn't leave a message to be left back in. I would say find somewhere else to live or be ready to deal with issues quite often. They tend to not have their ducks in a row when leasing, never knowing who is staying, or who is leaving, or what will be available. June 22, 2018The Centre at Overton Park is a great place to call home. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is caring and helpful. The maintenance team is very professional and responds quickly. The amenities are excellent and the proximity to Texas Tech is very convenient.
