It’s hard to find the words to explain how much I loathed living in this apartment complex, but I will do my best to save you the time, the misery, and especially the money.
As soon as you sign a lease at Centrepoint Apartments (now owned by Mission Rock), you are signing away your life with no personal rights as a tenant. If you do not like maintenance and construction crews working outside your doors at 7:00 in the morning, this place is not for you. If you do not want entry notices that were
...not fulfilled and consistently moved for days on end, this place is not for you. Also, don’t plan on having anyone come to visit you, because you’re only allowed one covered parking spot and there’s never any open uncovered spots for guests, except for in the back of the complex.
Living in this apartment complex has been nothing but a money pit. When I signed my lease it was owned by a different company. Now that it is owned by Mission Rock, rents are increasing by hundreds of dollars a month, and that doesn’t include water, trash and sewer. When you finally realize how much of a scam this apartment complex is and want to get out, you will be nickeled and dimed for everything little thing. Even if you clean your apartment to perfection and use a professional carpet cleaner, you will still be charged hundreds of dollars for cleaning costs. Even though a light fixture on the ceiling broke from the roofers banging on the roof for more than a week, you’re still the one that has to pay.
Everything about the complex seems like a great place on the surface. The pools are nice, there’s not a lot of people that use the gym, and it’s in a good location on the northwest side. But looks are deceiving and there are MANY places you’ll be able to find in the same area that are cheaper, have nicer employees that have an invested interest in your well being, and not money hungry. Learn from my mistakes.
