Wouldnt get paid to live here
January 19, 2025Toured this building and even though they called and texted me about 7-10 times before the tour they knew nothing when I got there and even tried to ask me the same questions. The building hallways reeked of cat urine and there were construction workers all over over the building. The flooring in the units were so cheap you can tell they were stuck down w/ adhesive that wouldn't last longer than a couple of years and you could hear it. This place is a mess. Not to mention they are part of pending ...legal case with the DOJ for their alleged participation w/ real page which hiked up CO residents rent.Property Manager Responded

Great Maintenance Staff!
August 21, 2024I submitted a maintenance request in the evening/after hours for having no hot water. I received a call first thing the next day from the maintenance tech asking if it was okay to come look at it. I work from home so I always appreciate having a call first so I can arrange my schedule accordingly. The two techs that came by were very pleasant to work with and resolved my issue quickly! So happy to have their support in making this a great place to live!Property Manager Responded

Great place to live!

The absolute perfect choice if you're moving to/near Lakewood.
November 14, 2023Cortland Belmar knocks everything out of the park. The leasing office has the best staff who were extremely helpful from my first phone call to post move-out. Alex and Marissa are super friendly, professional, and absolutely care about past, present and future residents. The maintenance team always quickly responded to service requests (and I had very few) and were always courteous to call ahead of time to ensure they could enter the unit. I loved my unit, it was in excellent condition upon ...move-in and the location gave it a more exclusive floorplan that gave it 2 balconies instead of one. I know Cortland acquired the property well after the complex was built, but just wanted to highlight this as this was a huge plus for me. The surrounding area of Belmar is also an exciting, fun and well-appointed area. I never had to drive to get anything I needed, everything you can think of is within walking distance, with multiple grocery store options. The area is also beautiful with all of the foliage, and every section of the Cortland property was also full of plants and other things (some areas have string lights between the buildings) that made it picture worthy. Should I continue to rent, and if my needs ever take me back to even close to Lakewood, I will absolutely make Cortland Belmar my first choice again. I have nothing negative to add about this property or my experience here.Property Manager Responded

Great Place to Live and Great Staff!
July 19, 2023In the dictionary under the words awesome, helpful, friendly, caring and absolutely amazing should be a picture of Alexander! I moved from another state and had to get an apartment without physically being able to tour any. I had originally tried another apartment community and that was a disaster, so when I tried Cortland Belmar I was skeptical. The first person I spoke with was Adrian and he was great! He answered my questions and set me up with a virtual tour appointment. That's when I met ...Alexander. He probably walked over a mile while showing me around the entire neighborhood. He showed me two different versions of the apartment I was trying to rent and gave me all kinds of information about the area. It was amazing! He sent me all the paperwork I needed to get in and he continued to answer every question I had, always within a day or less. Just recently, he followed up with me again about my move in date, keys, etc. I have to say that I haven't seen my apartment yet, but I'm hoping it's as great as my experience has been so far. Thank you Alex and Cortland Belmar team! UPDATE: I have lived here now for about 9 months and it is great! Any time I need help with anything, have a question, need something fixed in my apartment, it is done quickly and with a smile. Also, and I really worried about this in an apartment, I can’t hear my neighbors. Once in a while I can hear someone close their door outside, but that’s it. The neighborhood is amazing. Everything and I mean everything is within walking distance! I hate moving and hope to stay here a while!Property Manager Responded

Love it here
July 16, 2023This apartment complex is a gem. Everything you could want is in walking distance or a very short drive away. It is so convenient, and I really love that. The staff has been wonderful; Alex was extremely helpful and flexible with my move-in, helping me find the right apartment in the complex. Tim is great with maintenance; I had some issues with the washer on move-in and they were taken care of right away. All of the amenities are in good repair, as is the rest of the apartment. I really love ...living here. Tim and Billy came to fix my water heater the day after I requested service, and it wasn't even an emergency. Actually, I submitted the request after hours and Tim called me back immediately, asking if it was an emergency. Then they were out the next day to fix it, which they did. I really appreciate their professionalism and competence, and they are extremely friendly and personable as well. Thank you, gentlemen!Property Manager Responded
