Great location, tenants, and management!
May 27, 2021I recently moved due to a family matter but lived there for 3+ years and was sad to go. This apartment complex has the perfect location in Foggy Bottom right next to Georgetown (trader joes and wholefoods 5 mins walk away, 5 minute walk to the Metro, walking/biking distance to DuPont Circle, dog park, 10 min walk to Kennedy center and more!) . The building is privately owned and family run with an amazing management team who is very quick to respond to issues, communicates well, and is super ...conscientious to the needs of their tenants! Excelsior - Excellent Location, Quiet and Friendly!
January 28, 2020I recently moved and was sad to go. This apartment complex, albeit not equipped with the fancy amenities as newer buildings, certainly has its charm. It is located in Foggy Bottom right next to Georgetown (bars, restaurants, waterfront), 4 minute walk to the Metro, walking/biking distance to DuPont Circle, and much more. There was never an issue finding street parking, has a doggy park around the corner; and is in a quiet, peaceful part of the city. Tenants in the building nearly always greeted ...you with a smile, and the apartment I lived in had plenty of sunlight and was quiet. The landlords ultimately felt like family members to me, and really valued maintaining a quiet and respectful experience for all tenants. The maintenance guy lives in the building and is super sweet, so things get done quickly. Also, the cleaning guy is the kindest heart I've ever met and I will miss my passing conversations with him. As long as you too are a respectful tenant, looking for a quiet, convenient, dog-friendly apartment within the heart of Foggy Bottom, I highly recommend taking a look here. Excelsior - so sad I have to move
October 28, 2016LOVE Excelsior - it is literally 10 minutes from Georgetown and located in Foggy Bottom. It's a 5 minute walk to the metro, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, CVS, and Urban Boxing, etc - really close to downtown for work - I walk and it's 20 minutes. There is a dog park and park around the corner! Dogs are welcome for 50 dollars (as of 2016). Even though it allows dogs, it is quiet - the walls are thick! The neighbors are really nice and friendly. Young and old professionals, which is great. The ...building is older and some appliencies are older but I love it. July 20, 2015The Excelsior is in the perfect location, right on the edge of Georgetown and Foggy Bottom. It's a 5 minute walk to the metro, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, CVS, and more. It's quiet and the neighbors are really nice. The building is 60s retro, but the landlord is slowly renovating the whole building. Utilities are included, which is great, with laundry in the basement. The only draw back to the laundry room is that you can't use it between 10pm and 7am. Pets are welcome!Review from Apartments.com
