Apartments are not up to date you will have roaches and gnats constantly inside of home and when office is called it takes 2 weeks for pest control to come out, but that does not solve the issue. Walls are paper thin my neighbor was constantly heard having sex. Trash is always overflowing out of dumpsters into the driving areas. Cabinets and floors are peeling and falling off hinges. I am currently living here, and was 100% fooled! They presented this place so perfectly. They showed us a model that they clearly spent a great deal of time fixing up. Our actually apartment is trash. Maintenance is the biggest joke ever! He knows absolutely nothing about anything. More than half our apartment does not work and he will not come

These apartments are terrible. Please do not move here. They may show you the model unit and try to persuade you this is a good place. But renter beware. Been here close to 6 months now. This is how I would sum up the place:
Grounds unkept-whether garbage or pet fecies and owners can have ANY type of pet. Pit bulls/Large breeds and they walk them unleashed.. and not pick up after them.
Maintenance-seriously they don’t care if your apartment is leaking. They NEVER show up. Office staff- complete ...
joke. Have went to them multiple times. Act like they care..they don’t. New staff all the time so that should tell you something.
Paper thin walls. You will hear all you neighbors conversations..sleeping patterns. As if they are right in the room with you.
Oh. And this place is not gated. You will have your car broken into. Or people roaming the lot at all times. It’s seriously a mess. I’m breaking my lease to get out of here. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. I tried to reach upper management and office staff will not give info. Hopefully they will see this review and do something.

Management how are you so ok with all the gross trash hanging out of the bins and on the ground?
This is 7 days a week day and night.
This isnt how my family lives and i dont appreciate this being the image you push off on us by allowing this trash to be as it is.
Unacceptable. Very embarrassing.
If it isnt immediately and permanently corrected we are not renewing.

they deleted my last review so ill keep posting so people know the truth they've come in and upped the rent to over $1000 dollars but for it to be so much i should have never had so many issues with my "new upgraded unit" and if its suppose to be newly upgraded why would u not upgrade the entire apartment and not just the floor lighting and appliance......we're paying all this money so they can make the outside look new so they can attract more people to this little complex when it was oak forest ...
i didnt have any issues here now cops are always here there was a couple running around screaming in the middle of the night and kids are out late at night with all the money we spend there should be a courteous officer and a gate but they'll delete my review again so read while u can

Oak Forest is one of the worst apartment complexes I have ever lived in. For starters they charge you way to much for the quality of apartment you get. I pay almost $800 for a 2 bedroom apartment that has peeling floring and cabinets, water damage on the ceiling, and no insulation. Let me repeat that- No insulation. Our electric bill has been $400 or over every month for a 2 bedroom apartment and the reason is that these cheaply made apartments used single pane windows and skipped on insulation. ...
Also the complex is incredibly loud and the cops were called for a shooting our 2nd day here. Save your money and your sanity and look somewhere else.

As far as convenience goes, my apartment is great. I like being on the first floor and the wide open room is kind of nice and not crowded. I definitely like not feeling contained so it's suiting me well. I definitely like the apartments, besides living on the first floor it is pretty quiet and the staff here seems really nice. I have no complaints at all for right now.
