STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! My lease ended August 29th of this year, and I have been fighting to get my security deposit back ever since move out date. I started calling after a week from move out to see if they had done the walk through yet of the apartment to where the next step would be my deposit given back to me. through was complete and that I am not getting my deposit back and I also owe them $780 and that I have 30 days to pay the amount, or it will go against my rental history. The office staff claims that they have sent the paperwork regarding the fees of "damages" but I have yet to receive any paperwork. I called back on the 16th telling them that I have yet to receive the paperwork and to resend it to my new home address. The office said they would even email me the proof that they have of the damages that I have made since I had no paperwork to go off of. I have yet to receive those emails either. On the 16th I was given corporates email because of course you can't get ahold of them by phone. I emailed corporate regarding the concerns I have with my security deposit of $200 being kept and also the balance that is being owed. Based on what was told over the phone from the office staff was that I'm being charged for carpet cleaning, oven cleaning, bathroom cleaning, airduct cleaning, a few long strip blinds for the balcony door and holes in the walls from the tv mounts. I completely understand paying for the holes in the walls and the blinds. What I feel like is unacceptable is that I am having to pay for cleaning that is supposed to be done after every move out from the property. I feel as if I left the apartment in the best shape I could. The apartment was completely cleared out. The office staff is stating that I have done almost $1,000 worth of damage. I have never been late on rent during the whole lease term, and I am also a previous tenant of theirs from back in 2016 and didn't have these issues. This apartment complex constantly has plumping issues. The property babies the situation to where the water was being cut of least once a month if not more for plumbing work. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!
