Been here for a year, they lied before move In saying we’d get a remodeled apartment on the highest floor. They said we couldn’t walk through because current residents would move 3 days before us then we tried walking through day before and the refused us. Move in day we got an old ratty apartment, with a moisture problem and everything is old and gross. I Recently went in to put an application for an apartment and I put down a $300 deposit along with a $25 application fee for me and my wife which added up to $50 total we were hoping to get a one bedroom apartment and stay in the suite until the apartment was available for us but I’m in Union and was relocated and because I did not move in they clean the apartment and claimed that since I canceled they can keep my money for deposit the staff is not nice here and lie to your face

Terrible place to live at. The staff is only friendly at first but the longer you stay the meaner they get. After six years, moving out was the biggest pain. With all the fees and unreasonable charges, they just proved how money hungry they are. If you're considering living there, don't! It'll be one of the worst mistakes you'll ever make.

Bait and Switch-Renter Beware

This complex showed me appartments which were very nice and took my money, but when I showed up to claim my room it was a dump. Delaminated cabinets and gross countertops, unclean smelling, dented broken refridgerator, and unpainted wall touch ups. No wonder they would only show me their model room!

We have lived here for going on three years and decided to not renew our lease due to the increase in rent every year.
Pros the location is amazing. Great place to walk and enjoy the views.
Cons. We have dealt with MOLD since we moved in. Our entire apartment had mold in every room. If you have small children please do not rent here. The landscaping is not managed well at all. Weeds and overgrown bushes everywhere. Many of the sprinkler heads are broken or they aren't set correctly and spray ...
everywhere. We can't even walk into our building at night without getting wet. Also, the pool is overcrowded and all the chairs are broke. Not to mention most holidays they shut it down for "health reason"
You can find the same apartment with better quality Staff and maintenance for less hassle then renting here. My advice live somewhere else!

In the winter, massive mounds of ice build up on their concrete/steel stairs. Getting to our third level apartment in the winter was an absolute joke. The ice was reported numerous times - the management simply does not care. The carpets have a permanent dog urine smell to them. Don't worry, they'll mask the scent with boatloads of air freshener so you only realize how horrid it smells about a week in. The carpets are also disgustingly dirty. We have a carpet shampooer and used it regularly on ...

After a lot of babying on our part (we're great renters - have never had a single move out fee except here) we still picked up disgusting amounts of gunk from the floor, EVERY single use. We never got the carpet to a point that we could actually go over it and not get dirty brown/yellow water coming back up. It was quite often that I went into the office for a package, could clearly hear multiple people (including a woman's laughter) in the back, yet had to wait for a good 15 minutes before anyone came out to help me. The first time I assumed it was business related. However, after many other times I listened carefully enough to realize this was absolutely not business. The women in this office are simply unprofessional by every metric. If I had a good 45 minutes I could list a tremendous amount more bad experiences, but I don't feel like doing that so I'll skip forward to moving out. Upon moving out, after cleaning the carpets at the very least once per quarter, we got a bill for replacing the carpets. We also got a LOT more tacked on, to the tune of around $1000. It was all false, we left the place cleaner than when we moved in. Though, they did try to tell us we were locked in a lease when we told them we were moving out as well. That was also false, and they only let up after we wouldn't budge and forced them to go find the paperwork with our signatures. When they couldn't find it, they finally stopped telling us we were in a lease and would have to pay to break it. Sound shady? It is. You pay far more than the sticker price with this lovely place. Do your due diligence - don't settle for this terrible place! Go elsewhere.

Everything about my experience here is very bad. To top it all off, they throw fake fees on you when you move out. They are extremely bad and should be avoided at all costs. Strangely enough, this is the only place where Legends at River Oaks has any decent reviews - think about that for a second.

The landscaping is impecable with plenty of trees and by the way, you will never miss going green with the beautiful pine trees. I've been here about three years, in a couple different apartments. Moved from a two bedroom first floor to a one bedroom third floor. And I have to say, the location is pretty incredible. It's far enough away from the main roads with plenty of trees to make it feel like you're in the country, and yet you're actually only a few minutes from just about anything!
