In the winter, massive mounds of ice build up on their concrete/steel stairs. Getting to our third level apartment in the winter was an absolute joke. The ice was reported numerous times - the management simply does not care. The carpets have a permanent dog urine smell to them. Don't worry, they'll mask the scent with boatloads of air freshener so you only realize how horrid it smells about a week in. The carpets are also disgustingly dirty. We have a carpet shampooer and used it regularly on
...the carpets. After a lot of babying on our part (we're great renters - have never had a single move out fee except here) we still picked up disgusting amounts of gunk from the floor, EVERY single use. We never got the carpet to a point that we could actually go over it and not get dirty brown/yellow water coming back up. It was quite often that I went into the office for a package, could clearly hear multiple people (including a woman's laughter) in the back, yet had to wait for a good 15 minutes before anyone came out to help me. The first time I assumed it was business related. However, after many other times I listened carefully enough to realize this was absolutely not business. The women in this office are simply unprofessional by every metric. If I had a good 45 minutes I could list a tremendous amount more bad experiences, but I don't feel like doing that so I'll skip forward to moving out. Upon moving out, after cleaning the carpets at the very least once per quarter, we got a bill for replacing the carpets. We also got a LOT more tacked on, to the tune of around $1000. It was all false, we left the place cleaner than when we moved in. Though, they did try to tell us we were locked in a lease when we told them we were moving out as well. That was also false, and they only let up after we wouldn't budge and forced them to go find the paperwork with our signatures. When they couldn't find it, they finally stopped telling us we were in a lease and would have to pay to break it. Sound shady? It is. You pay far more than the sticker price with this lovely place. Do your due diligence - don't settle for this terrible place! Go elsewhere.
