Living the dream.
After owning/living in my own home for 35 years I'd lost the desire for yard work,home repair and watching the neighbor's children grow move away and a new family move in. My decision to move was easy actually moving at my age a pain. Dee made this transition much easier.

Because we are a community of retirement aged people many are not truly computer/internet literate. As a result notifications via email do not reach every single resident. A more “all inclusive” method of notification is needed when critical issues (like needing to write a check for February’s rent because the portal was down) dictate that residents be notified in a timely manner. Many had no clue and were notified by the neighbor who knocked on their door and gave them the news.

I have lived here since the apartments first open. The only problem I have is when I can't speak to the manager. She is not always available. But has gotten a little better recently. I feel safe and things are taken care of when there is a problem.

I am adjusting to apartment life. So far everything is going ok.
I enjoy my walking around the pond.
My apartment is very nice and had a couple things needed in maintenance but was taken care when I submitted a work order.

The grounds and landscape are maintained on a regular basis. I like walking around the pond in the early morning or at dusk evening sitting under the gazebo watching the sea gulls and turtles.

I have lived at Melbourne Senior for approximately five years and I enjoy where I live. I live in a two bedroom room/ two bath apartment. I love my apartment. My porch looks over the pool which is fun in the summer months. The amenities are nice. There are a lot of fun events to attend at The Club house. Our Coordinator is very kind. We also have residents that plan events. One is game day twice a month, Bingo twice a month and Bible Study on Saturday. The residents are nice and for the most part ...
try to help out one another. There doesn't seem to be as much turn over in a 55 and older residential property. Therefore you get to know more people. Any place you live is what you choose to put into it. Living here makes you want to do just that.

My experience here at Melbourne has been amazing. All of our residents are like family. A quiet friendly place to live.I guess I have to type more in order to get my reward. I like to walk around the pond with my grandchildren when they come to visit.
